My wife doesn't care about the hobby, but she supports me, she like when I take a box of sticks an convert it into an airplane, she buys me kits every now and then, for birhtdays and Christmas (whoo hoo, coming up soon), I can't get her to come out to our club field, but always ask if I'm flying going to fly this weekend (Of Course! I AM), I took her to a Warbird Rally this year, ( I had to drag her there), see really enjoyed the turbine jets, and wanted me to get one, but when I told her the price of flying one, I got this ( ), and this ( ), but, knowing my rc budget limits , it will never happen , so , I will stick to small planes, some .40, some .60, some 1/4 scale and electrics

I gotta answer this one........my wife fly's with me, works out great. She's just getting started but has really gotten hooked. She has even started shopping for a new plane and I am a firm believer of never flying alone, just in case of a accident and best of all she also a nurse.

Gunner, Nice Floats!

My wife is the cause of a new hobby shop in the area! She like this hobby better than me racing cars and bikes all over the southeast. I like it because of this guy!

My wife (of 21 years) is mildly tolerant. She grouses about the cost of things.... Really would rather I'd have not gotten involved in this.... Wails when I crash ( because she knows what's coming next)..... I'm going to fix her though... I'm going to buy her an R/C sailboat for Christmas. She grew up around lakes and loves to sail..... Heh, Heh....

Let's put it this way ... women should learn to understand its better for us to play with little planes than little women!!! My gal is totally supportive of me, she has bought me quite a few planes, YS110, PCM9X, Saito 72, Futaba 6EXA etc ... guess it helps that I do not go clubbing and I cook for her!!! Hahahaaaaaa ... Its only a hobby and many men do worse things with their money.

I know some guys at my flying site where the wife will halp them get the plane up ... not bad huh?

My wife is pretty saportive and alows me to go flying when I get the chance as long as I take one of the two kids with. Usully ends up being my 5 yr. old daughter and shes my biggest fan. My wife only askes that when I buy something that I clear it with her first for buget perposes.
My daughter really helps the ego and doesnt rub it in on the days of none suscessfull flights.

I have a question......

You guys talk about your wife's buying you planes and etc. for birthdays and Christmas.
When it come's down to it, isn't it your money she's buying it with??? =)
My birthday is in like a week, and my wife wants to buy me a plane. I wont let her because
"I" cant afford it...

But its the thought that counts.... I Still LOVE Her.............."only on wensdays"

Edit: "NOT TRYING TO START A SEX WAR JUST MAKING A FUNNY....."

Bad Asumption to ASSUME you are the only "breadwinner" in the house hold. There are some of us "wives" who bring in more money than our husbands and we spend it the way that WE want to and if that means buying a gift that will truly appreciated than so be it. But to assume I buy gifts for my man or he for me with the others money is an archaic thought at best-- Please enter 2004 and get with the program. Life does not revolve around MEN as you ASSUME. Very insulting comments......
