How long have you been racing with those 40s rims? Every truck at my track that ran with the 40s rims like those broke at the wheel hex. Or other damage had occured to the wheel. Seems like the tires dont leave enough cushion on impact for jumping. Then again, my track has some aggressive jumps, but looking at the first pic in this post where the t-maxx is, that first jump can get you up to 6 feet or more if you went fast enough. Enough impact to damage the 40s rims. Tumbling during a crash also made those wheels bust to at my track.

I use the standard velocity maxx sized wheels and I haven't had any break from any jumps. You ought to try those instead of the 40 series. I would use the Big Joe on Mambos for my LST when I'm bashing around. Nice pics.

the whole idea behind using the 40 series rim is so we can use the40 series bow tie.they have a small side wall.

bashed around with some buddies with savages, tmaxxes and a revo the other day on dirt, picked up a set of velocitys and bowties in the 40 series flavor. After about 5-6 tanks they were twisted to hell and I left the stock tires at home....so I called it a day. Those wheels simply suck on a heavy truck if it catches any air (we're talking 3-4 feet max here with few flips onto dirt) same setup held up fine on my buddy's savage, but mine were bent to hell. Threw the stock ones back on to play today. the things didn't even grab, my savage with big joes was grabbing the ground better on hard packed dirt, and those things still hold their own on pavement. and they haven't bent yet, just love to twist hexes...
