Never really knew what I had;

OS .61SF - hasn't been run in 10 years and may never be again - very good engine

OS 1.20 ( 4 - stroke ) - presently unemployed but looking - nice scale engine but noooo powerhouse

OS 1.60 ( 2 - stroke ) - currently unemployed but looking - you can't buy a better engine in this size

Saito .56 - currently unemployed and resting after 8 years in a FF Ultimate - my buddy a 10 1/2

Saito 1.00 - sitting in a box where it belongs - garbage

Saito 270 - bench run only waiting for a ride - awesome engine can't wait

YS .63 ( 2 ) - the good one is in my FF Ultimate, the bad one ( never worked right ) is in a box waiting to be operated on

YS 1.40 - is in a Typhoon pattern plane, about 500 flights and still snortin'

MVVS 1.60 ( gas ) - is in a Balsa Nova 120, I have no idea why I bought this thing, too heavy and blows black goo all over my plane - I don't sell engines but I think I will make an exception

Quadra 42 - has not been used in 12 years or so, too heavy - a great engine in it's day

Brison 2.4 - is in a Topflite P - 51, has been with me for 10 years and still kicking -

Taurus TS52 - N.I.B. but headed for a W/M 27% Ultimate - I have great expectations for this engine -

Well there you have it, only 12, maybe I need some more.

Hello Torque Wrench; I have 2 mark II's and one mark I with a homemade front bearing housing to bring it up to mark II spec's. The pictures tell it all. Oh I should say that I sold the mark I already. It went back to the guy that machined the front housing.

DD:

The Enyas aren't the only antiques in those pictures. The aluminum spinner loks like a genuine Froom brand, (although with a custom back plate) and it's probably older than any of the engines shown.

Bill.

DD:

Here's another genuine Froom, again with a custom back plate. The engine, the spinner, and the airplane are well over 40 years old.

Bill.

PS: The back plate was the weak point of all stock Froom spinners, way too thin. wr.

Doc, I see one of the .46s has a vent tube on the cam box, was that from the factory? My cams and timing gears in my .46 got very rusty over the years so I drilled the carb mounting bracket bolt hole all the way through and shoot Corrosion X in there after a flying day is done, same with my .53.

Kmot,

Picture was taken about Feb. 1955. I was 11 at the time. Plane is a Consolidated Wowee and the engine (which I still have) was an OK Cub .074. Fox didn't make 1/2 As back then; that's why the Cub.

G, I was 13 in 1955, I still have a SpitFire .049, McCoy .35 and .36, an OK Cub .024, and I think I still have an .020 and an .010, I'll have to look.

I won`t tell how many engines or radios I have, my wife could find out. After my first EBay transaction I have not been able to stop and I have found real treasures.

Alfredo

Not counting my CO2 and Jetex, about 175, from Cox .010 to a Fox .78. About 3 diesels and 1 4 stroke. Still have my first, a Cub .099 I bought about 1949 or 1950.
