Check this out. Talked to Bill Monday, and he had just gotten the motor he ordered for me. Said i would have it Wednesday, and here it is. Brand new, with engine mounts, and starter back plate! Bill, you rock! Easily the best purchase i've made in Nitro MT's. Losi is top notch. Bill and Richard really are great to deal with. Enjoy the pic, i gotta go install this now.

lol, I'll bet Losi's double checking all engines now but I'll definitely check mine before installation when it comes in. Not worth going through that for such a simple problem and solution. Preventative maintenance ladies and gentlemen...

Glad to see your issues were resolved in a timely matter, and speaking of time, do you know about how long the entire process took from dropping in the mail till pickup? I'm just trying to find a date for the arrival of my engine, or a rough estimate.

This motor went thru a serious inspection.
First, i removed the head, and inspected the piston, shims, and sleeve liner. All looked great, i applied some after run oil.
Second, i removed the carb. I inspected slowly, and rotated the shaft by hand. All looked great, i again applied after run oil.
Third, i removed the backplate, and inspected it. Flushed with WD40, and everything looked great. Applied more after run oil, and re-assembled the engine. The engine is all mounted up, and i have just finished the first tank at idle. So far, so good.

I noticed that you flushed the backplate, but did you add a drop of one-way lube to the starter before you put it back together?

I removed the back plate to flush the engine, i did not flush the one way out. It was greased and fine. The engine has idled thru 2 tanks so far, and tank 3 i started tuning. Im taking it back out in a few minutes.

Well, I am a bit confused, what went wrong with the engine, and made you have to replace it?
Thanks
Yan
