AT LAST!! I'm packing up the first group, and have notified the individuals personally! Last Friday, I had the boxes lined up and proceeded to do tha last step, which is just to plug on the struts and put the retraining screw in. What are those sayings?---"The devil is in the details", or "It's the litle things that will get you!". NONE of the output shaft screw holes were threaded!! I was so annoyed (Peed off!!!) that I got in too much of a hurry and promptly broke the tap off in the first unit!! Had to replace the whole output shaft! The local ind. supply place was closed for the holiday, and I couldn't get a tap (I got 2!) until Monday! I don't use Home Depot or similar taps; they are garbage! The good, 'though expensive ones, are well worth it! Lee

Well, I just spent the last day trying to clean up some viral glop on my "confuser"!! Finally got things
cleaned up a few minutes ago, and wanted to touch base with y'all! I found one more name I missed, actually ahead of Brett Lingo, who I previously forgot to put on the list! Mark Thompson, up in Barboursvill, VA. So next batch this week will start at Don Hatten. Not sure how many I'll get done, but will do as many as possible. Will update all again next wekend, but will notify individuals as their unit goes out. This may actually become fun again!!! Lee

Hi guys. With an eye to the future, I'm going to do my damndest to get ALL of these out before Christmas. Then, after the holidays, I plan on starting a second run of about 25 sets. I still have 3 left in this batch. I'm hoping to sneak in a little time on the 1/5 scale proto over the holidays, as I have been asked by a number of people about it. No change in price, and same deal, delivery in order of order receipt. I sincerely hope all of you have the best Christmas ever, and a super 2007!! I especially hope they can solve a couple of medical "mysteries" for my Kay. She has not been well, and they are still hunting for the problem(s). Remember, the perfect landing is when your plane quits flying 1/8" off the ground!! Just like me!!!??? Lee

Hi guys. Well, I didn't quite make Christmas, but I have 8 about finished (finishing struts, and a couple more with some questionable parts, which I will replace. But I'll definitely be shipping next week. Kay & I both have the "creepin' crud", namely bad head colds.. The usual stuff, runny nose, sneezing, but Kays is worse. She sounds like a frog! We are supposed to go up to central FL with my son and wife Chris, to see Grandson Adam and family, with 2 great-grandaughters! Now Kay is worried about giving the stuff to the little girls! She's taking some medicine, but if it is viral, it won't help much. We have a whole 36 hours to make a dent in it!! Oh well---- Have great one, all of you! Oh, by the way, KRAM51, I saw your comment over in the Bearcat thread. Forgive the guys if they seemed to lean a bit hard on you, but that plane is a true disaster. I believe even I could have done better! I made the gear for Johns plane. Lee & Kay

Thanks for the good wishes! We have had to cancel our trip up to see the wee ones, as we are both down with a real "snoot-full"!! Also, about a week or 10 days ago, I got an email from someone wanting to order one of the remaining few units, and now I can't remember who it was and can't find the email! I must have dumped it when I cleaned out some old stuff, and the junk "viagra" ads, etc!!! So, whoever you were, give me another "shout"!! Lee

Here's a link to a post I made about a perceived adjustment (which in fact is NOT needed) to the rotation of Lee's gear. There are two links in my post: one to a real corsair rotation on takeoff and a youtube link to my wing in action with Lee's gear in place.

Ignore my comments in the youtube vid as I made them prior to finding out about the real-life rotation.

Thanks again Lee

Well, I'm still hacking up a storm, but it seems to be getting a bit better! But I have been doing my coughing in the shop, and making progress! I'll be shipping at least 8 this coming week, and with any luck at all, I'll have all out the following week. It has been a rough couple of years, but things are finally looking better! Thanks to all who have shown tremendous patience, with some of you waiting MORE than a year! Meanwhile--back to the shop! Happy New Year to all. Lee & Kay Robinson

Happy New Year all!!! My mean streak says I must inform you all that, while assembling & packing gear, I am sitting with NO SHIRT, 78 deg. with a beautiful cool breeze and great sunshine with partly cloudy conditions! I know you snowbirds are thoroughly enjoying your blizzards and 10 foot drifts! But you are about to be rewarded! And NO, you can't all come down to visit; I don't think the one spare bedroom, which is also my "confuser" room, will accommodate 100 or so people!! I hope this year is MUCH better than the last! AHM TARRED!!!!! Lee

I have a puzzlement! I show a Jerry Thompson on that delivery list, but no such name in my order records, including the Paypal log. Mark Thompson, in VA, and Jon Thomson, The Netherlands, I know, but I do not see a Jerry, but do see a John Thompson in correspondence, but no order. If either such person is out there, Jerry Thompson or John Thompson, please contact me. Thank you. Lee

Dear Lee (with Respect and Concern):

I GIVE UP !!

We have all been waiting a long time (see time line below) for the promise of high-quality rotator gear from you.

I don't think it's coming.

While the long string of personal humor and anecdotes and personal insights has been entertaining, educational, occasionally sad, this whole venture has the timing and the rhythm of a con-job.The simple fact of the matter is that you have had our money for more than a year, and you have not delivered on the goods.

I have a beautiful Corsair that lacks only the gear to fly for almost two years, and it will not sit out another season. I will order from Darrell @ Sierra, who has a reputation for strong, pretty gear, and although he has a reputation for slow delivery, he has never taken more than 8 months for me and he has never asked for payment until after delivery.

The way I see it, your only chance at redemption is prompt delivery of good gear.

You can keep my $300 for whatever personal or business needs you have. I will chalk it up to (as I said) entertainment, education and sadness.

I'm Sorry,

Mark Taylor

11/19/05: I sent you a check for $300

12/01/05: you cashed my check

5/8/06: "shippable units in about 4 weeks, maybe less"

6/20/06: "start shipping in 3-4 weeks"

7/16/06: "final assembly about 7/30 and will start shipping"

8/2/06: "start shipping in about 2 weeks"

8/29/06: "you should have gear in hand by the end of the month"

9/20/06: "start packing and shipping around the 1rst"

10/12/06: "shipping towards the end of next week"

10/24/06: "ship at least 6 sets this weekend"

11/13/06: "I will start shipping gear this week"

12/4/06: "do my damndest to get ALL these out before Christmas"

12/22/06: "definitely be shipping next week"

And on and on......

You seem like too nice a guy to be mad at, but Lee, you can't run a business by taking people's money and not delivering the goods/services. At least not for very long!

Best Wishes,

Mark Taylor
