If it had been as windy when I left as when I got to the field I probably wouldnt have gone flying...but I was there so I put the wing on, and fired up the golden bee and chucked it and it climbed out hands off! course then it went immediatly from hands off to a handful when the wind kicked in ....facing the wind it would hover ,with the wind it was fast! good flyer..the 3rd flight started a little hairy, just as I was about to hand launch it, I noticed there was no prop wash,,it was running backwards ,got it running right and it was a handfull again after it looped in a fast wind and moved the wing over about an inch(note to self, need more rubber bands on wing) ,I finished the flight and brought it in ok except it did a slow cartwheel from a cross wind..3rd flight was the charm so that was it for the day....that field is the one thats 23 miles away the other field the club has thats 5 miles away is closed till october so they can get the grass right....my plane doesnt have any landing gear so I not overly concerned about the grass but they changed the locks till then....its been months since Ive flown anything so it felt great for those 3 flights and bringing everything back in the same condition it went in....Rog

I got one Tim.. AJ and I traded out some stuff so I did it last night but I boogered up the cylinder again so I put a tee dee cylinder and glow head on it,changed back to the norvel head..3 flights this morning and the field got crowded early this morning, not used to an audience, real shakey for a minute ,but it was flying hands off while I put the Tx strap around my neck, nice slow climb out, I am getting way better and more confident in my flying..loops only 1 mistake high,,fast low flybys, this is a good plane..not particularly attractive but,,way faster than the JK trainer I had,,if the front was just a tad bigger I could put my tank mount tee dee rc .051 on it ..oh well, going again tomorrow early to avoid the crowds.. Yeah AJ, I am trying to get out there more often....maybe if I put my digitally remasterd micro-flite throttle master on it I could get 45,000 rpm out of it plus it will idle all day at 200 rpm ,sounds like a kitten on the runway.....BAHAHAHAHHA ..couldnt resist ...ok no more on that from me...Rog

Rog, I got a whack 'o TD parts at Toledo this year so if you need anything just ask me.

I took out my Seneca twin today at our zone fun fly, and I got it off the grass! And more amazingly, I landed it without incident

Thanks for the offer AJ and good news on your seneca!! What a morning today,, I got to the field 08:00 and it was foggy!!not in town but it was out there!..I actually lost my plane in the fog on the 3rd flight..talk about scary, anyway I went though 3 oz of fuel in the gold bee,I think it was 9 flights,,I have a 600mah battery in it,,no voltmeter but I think thats about all the juice it had in it,(didn't want to make the dreaded "one more flight" mistake)still making a harness for my peak charger...so then 2 guys show up while I'm deadstickin in and ask am I ok?...I told them I deadstick everytime..and had never actually landed on wheels...well a little while later I am on a trainer box with this guys .40 trainer ..He took off and landed the first time..I took off and landed the second time..it was pretty cool...and easy..in fact as flying goes it was pretty slow...I remember WR telling me if I could get these little planes flying ok the bigger ones would be simple..he was right...I gotta get my Simple Cap together for Labor day ,think I'll put the .074 on it...hope ya'll dont get too tired of me yakkin on here...I am after all a 45 year old kid with new toys....Rog

OH yeah BONUS! I went down an old country road that I thought would come out near the field...found a shortcut that took 5 miles off the trip!! went from 22 to 17 miles

I brought this one back from long ago...CP although there is no pic and I cant seem to upload one with the new computer or camera for some reason... I chose this plastic blow molded fuse to make a .15 size sheet wing racer with...there is 1/4 inch balsa being glued even as I write this,,wont be able to get much done till after the reedie race next week as I am still working on my racer...Rog

I was going to post a picture of it, but I forgot RCU has a really funky weird format where you have to jump thru hoops to display a pic from a computer...

The pic is on my computer if you want to see it.

PS Please don't send me a message saying "how to". It's absurd that it isn't easy like all other websites on the planet.
