Has anyone run a 4 blade scale prop on the TF 1/7 scale P-51D? I have read posts that say that it can't be done because of engine size restraints but i am using a RCV 90 and have all kinds of power to spare. Does anyone have any idea what the scale size for the prop would be? It looks like the two options that are popping up most often in my searches are 15x13.5 and 15.5x12. Thanks for your help guys!!

Ask this question in the engine forum under the mfg support forum. Otto should be able to help you.

The RCV 90 is slightly underpowered on any plane weighing 10 lbs or more. You might not have power to spare.

Scale size prop for the TF 1/7 scale P-51D is close to 19" in diameter. The prop you want to use with your RCV 90 is Bolly 15.5x12.5W 4-blade carbon fiber. In terms of diameter, this prop will look OK, but it will still look small on the plane.

Hi

I'm in the same boat. I'm trying to get my carbon scale 109F/G blades to work on my 80" span model. What engine? still working it.
