    Shogun,

Mine originally came out a little heavy because I used Hitech HS-56 servos (better choice would have been GWS PICO+F servos) I also used a Kokam 1500 3 cell and an old receiver with the case removed. The weight was over 15.6 oz and slowing down to a harrier made the wings a little rocky. I have since bought a smaller receiver and use TP 730mah packs and the weight is down to 12.6 oz. It now flys like a feather. It transitions from slow forward flight to harrier to hovering very smoothly. George Hicks intended that this plane weigh under 12 oz. It is way better the lighter it gets. If you trim the weight down and set the CG right you should be able to slow this plane way down as your confidence with it increases.

The CG on the plans may have been a little too far back. Just move it forward little by little so that when you fly inverted you do not need up or down elevator. This thing trims out perfect at the right CG.

    I love this plane

I haven't weighed mine yet. I can tell you mine is probably heavy though. I have a brushed GWS400 geared on the nose, 1320 TP 2S li-po and 4 GWS servos. However, I have no probs doing harrier landings with it with no wing rocking. I did removed the irritating wheel pants since they would not stay secured and then just bent the end of gear a bit to hold the wheels on.

i agree with Doug, the flat plate style wings just have too much drag. the ultimate has more than the shockies due to thickness. just a different style of flying.

i enjoy my ultimate alot, sometimes more than my shocky for hovering! i may try to go the 2mm depron sandwiched on my next shocky..
