Hi Mike,

Some people may think that this should have been posted in aerodynamics forum but the truth is this I dont want any mathematics or theories. I need practical info from you.

Mike I read all of your articles on horizon. When designing a 3D aircraft what do u think are key elements which will prevent it from rolling or snaping out in hi-alpha manoeuvres.
I don`t have access to 3D planes like Funtana 90 or your hanger 9 cap in my country.

and how much wing loading, control throws and static thrust contribute? Also is it necessary to have a YS engine to hover close to ground (not with profile planes) like you do in TOC.

thanks

Build it straight and it won't roll or snap out. Anything will hover if the power to weight is correct. The full scale guys are doing it with barely a 1:1 ratio power ratio, small surfaces, and 22 degrees of travel. It just makes it more difficult.
