The Litco Alpa- 4 is a mythical beast and does not really exist in captivity.

DITTO on the good luck. I tried several times and gave up.
I finally got a Hangar 9 Double vision field charger and a FMA Supernova. Two chargers for less then the cost of an Alpha and I didnt have to wait 3 years.

It doesn't take luck. If that's what you guys are depending on....that's the reason you don't have one. Where there's a will there's a way....there are ways. You just have to find them.

Yup, just go to Area 51 or Roswell and ask the little green men for it. They will walk over to the flux capacitor cabinet and, using their superior mental capacity, levitate one into your awaiting hands.

"Litco Alpha 4" Ha! That's a good one! Next you'll be telling me that you can hover a plane!

My wife was able to score me one on her first attempt and she did not even know what she was buying. I don't know why the rest of you are having so much trouble

I could include the obligatory na na na na na na, but I won't

If you really want one, place that date in your electronic calendar, or paste it on your paper calendar. Call in, or email one minute after the opening time. If you wait ten or fifteen minutes after the opening time, shame on you. They are worth the wait, in spite of all the whining that has been going on about them. The Litco is unsurpassed in cycling NICAD or NIMH batteries and for conditioning new NIMH batteries.

Thanks for the pic..........I don’t own a Alpha4..........but the only picture I have seen of one is the funky 2 bit pic they have at the Litco website. I could draw a better pic myself. That is one reason I never bought a Alpha.......because it looked like something that came out of a garage sale that someone made at home.

I do have one of the old Litco Multi Cycles which still works perfectly to this day. Though it hasn’t had a lot of heavy use....but it is a very accurate charger.

Litco makes a good charger..........they just don’t know the business end of things..........they could be selling hundreds to thousands of there chargers.......if they could make them available to sell. The amateurish web site will not sell them. Most people are not going to plunk down 249.00 dollars for a drawing that looks like it is an antique from the 50's. Or least I am not. Why don’t they show an actual good quality photo of the charger.

Its like they don’t want to sell more units and are not interested in making more money.

But that’s there problem..........because of the high price and funky photo......I bought 2 SuperTurbos..........a Sirius Pro and a Sirius SuperTester instead of a Alpha 4.

If they don’t want my money..............I am not going to force them to take it and I am not going to beg them to please come up with a charger.

Pete is content with the amount of sales that he generates. He obviously has set his style to suit the stress level he is willing to put up with. he is quite satisfied with his production level, and profit margin. If you have ever talked to him you will realize this immediately.

I am not saying that the Litco is the "end all" of" chargers. I am saying it does some things far better than most chargers. If you are looking for a fast charger for large ma capacity packs, the Litco is NOT for you. However it will charge/trickle/cycle/test four batteries at the same time. You cannot name another charger that can do this in it's price range. One should examine their battery charger needs and make a decision if the Litco is what they need. It will not be the charger for every one.

I also have four Sirius battery chargers/tester that I cannot do without, just like my Litco.

Yes the website is lack luster, yes the production level is fixed at a low rate, but those of us that have one know that it is an invaluable addition to our battery management equipment and is well worth the small inconvenience it takes to get one.

It's not a big deal (if you make up your mind you want one) to just get on the list and wait your turn. In the mean time you can purchase any one of the Hobbico pieces of trash to use. Then you can sell it when the Litco arrives.
