My hats off to anyone that can build this thing in 2 1/2 hr., I've spent that long just look'n at the plans.

My Picco has a rear carb which complicates the mounting. What I found easiest to do was put 1/2" of AC ply under the mounting lugs. The engine JUST goes below the mounting plate by maybe 1/8". I may fill the bottom of the mount in with balsa so it won't catch on landings.

I only have a 8 oz. tank on hand, it seems to fit OK, so I'll use it. Where do you pickup pressure from a pipe, by the engine , or at the fat part of the pipe?

Put your pipe tap about 1/4" in front of the fattest part of the pipe. And I can't really see, but you're not raising your thrust line 1/2" are you??

Yes, I know that will pull the nose down somewhat. Do you that that it will be unacceptable?

I would mount the engine on the ply plate, put the beams under the ply plate extending back past the firewall, and cut the firewall out to make room for the carb. It looks like you have to butcher the firewall pretty bad, but I've had abot 4 less than perfect launches and mine is holding together..

Thanks
