I was intended to use a super tigre G4500 in my new pitts and have been totally put off as i can t seen to get the engine to run properly. I am now considering the Fuji 50 or the ZDZ40,50 or 60 instead as i want reliability

Help please! is there any suggestions will the ZDZ60 be too much for the airframe??

Hello. I used a Moki 2.10 on mine and absolutely loved it. It ran perfectly without a pump and I would highly recommend that engine.

I am partial to two-stroke engines though.

Good luck

Spence

Hi

Having spent most the night reading other postings it seems that the ZDZ50 is a good bet but does this involve cutting the firewall for the carb? If so does anyone know a decent gas alternative that doesnt involve doing this carve.

I just saw one at our field with an O.S 3.0 4 stroke in it....Man did it sound nice!!!!! and never skipped a beat. It will not hover but it's got more than enough power...

I have flown two of the GP Pitts and a GP Christen Eagle with different engines on each. One Pitts had an OS 160 FX, the other (mine) has an OS 300 Super Gemini Twin & Slimline Pitts muffler and the Christen Eagle a Fugii 50 with a custom Pitts smoke muffler. All three flew great and have more than enough power, but I like mine the best. The OS 300 twin is very smooth running and the sound is very scale-like. Some say it sounds almost like the full size Pitts going over.

Here are a few photos of my Pitts...
