hey tam

no worries:P

i've seen the plane i want next :P

he is right though about the cessna not being stable when upgraded, its a brick with wings

i need to learn with a stable plane, and with the space walker 2,it will give me unlimited vertical flights ,that's what i have been looking for a decent plane with some power and stable for me to learn with :P

i'll try and get in touch with the other flyer in rochdale,,i might even pick up on some tips

Mongrel - the last time we were in Spain we made friends with some of the staff, I told them Eileen was my Secretary and there to help with my slight walking difficulty. At breakfast one morning I sat down at the table and the Head Waiter ushered her to another table saying "staff don't mix with customers!!" I ended up in the pool clothed
Right, gotta go now, Mystery Shopping job to do at Phones-4-U, should be a laugh but I get paid for it!!

Solostu - no, it is a nice plane, plenty of room to put 2 teddy bear pilots in!! Big lipos though, expensive. Are you a member of a club or not? Just wondering.....
Mongrel - Mystery Shopping... yearh, I get to keep what I buy, from pubs, restaurants, take-aways, coffeee shops....as long as I get a receipt. Just hope they don't ask me to buy stuff from Marks & Sparks womens lingerie dept, I'd walk in but limp out, middle wicket gets stiff....!!!

Solostu - I weighed up all the pro's and cons and decided against it. The club(s) are 1 hour away and with the weather the way it is (even in Summer!!) you need a full day at the site to get the benefit. They want you to have DX6/7 or Futaba Fasst systems if possible and planes that take off/land on grass - I don't have any of those!! Cost to me about £600 minimum, for which I can get good TX sets cheap and a few extra planes to suit my sites, but more importantly the park Flers advantage. The "Advantage" is you fly when you want and when you can, for an hour or 5 hours, who cares. Little travelling, quiet flights, push-button flying, no mess, no fees(!!!!), no "friends". But no tuition, no buddies, no gravel or tarmac airstrip like you or I have. No, no clubs for ME Oh, and you go to your club and have to queue to fly, whats that all about!!!

tam,

when you mention that,,i understand what you are saying

why should i have to wait to fly my planes,i want to fly when I want to fly not when they tell me to fly

I think i'm doing alright with my flying, only need a little improvement, but i'm nearly there ,that's why i'm thinking of buying that plane,it will help me a lot

never had much luck with the cessna as it was very unstable(once upgrading it),but i had some great flights from it
i have put a few posts on youtube stuj026,,you can see them for yourself

i did have a few doubts about the club and you hit the nail

but i might still get some insurance though just to be safe

Stu - you might be covered on your home insurance. Think of this scenario: Its windy, a slate flys off your roof 150 yards and hits a pedestrian/car. You are covered under your house insurance to cover this but not sure if its "building" or contents insurance that covers it!!! Club insurance only covers damage done on the grounds of the club, not to people/cars running alongside road. Anyway, just a give a false name (joking?)......
Most parks in Uk allow electric but not nitro flying, as long as its "conrolled" and aware of other users. Dog walkers don't need insurance for their pitbulls or the shi.. they leave, footballer don't need insurance to cover that ball that hit you in the eye and needed hospitl treatment....and so on...Its called Clause 10 and can be found in most bye-laws unless there are special addendums to cover morris dancers
Really have to go now, I don't have a Cessna and mr Moderator might be watching....

Tam - out here we need insurance!! You get it when you join a club. In fact, you can't participate at a club organised event if you are not a member of a club. You don't have to be a member of the club that held the event, just that you a member of a club - somewhere!

So if you drive your plane into someones head... you are covered.
