Nice video. What brushless set-up, prop & battery do you use?

Hi Mate,

I run 8X4 prop on this motor...

Hey mate, how does this motor compare to the Tower Pro 2409-12? You tried this motor (2409) out before didnt you?

on youtube search for,,,,stuj026,,

hope this helps.

I saw some of your vids when I first heard about the Hawk. LOL when I typed in stuj026 and there they were again . Im hooked on it big time, but Ive got more time on the Cessna yet(still need thumb practise ). Also have complete new airframe on the way so am going to try and convert the old one to a low wing machine . Pics coming.

Gronsta,

I'm glad you like my vids (hope you rated them),you need good thumbs for the hawk it's quite responsive.

I'm thinking of getting my cessna back in the air but have to buy a new fuse first,i modified the landing gear as i used to land on grass and eventually it wrecked the fuse underneath,so i'm planning on taking off and landing on tarmac(the same place where i fly the hawk)so the original landing gear will be fine,

I don't suppose if you know if a new fuse comes complete with the servos?

You have a new airframe coming,is that of a cessna and your going to try to convert it to low wing?or a different plane altogether?

GRONSTA,

The first motor I used was a this one!! http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=EW-M001

She flew good, but too much abuse and the motor was starting to show signs of age.

Cheers

What do you guys think of the skyartec 182 cessna? It is the exact same deminsions as the art tech 182, but comes with 2 aileron servos for more control? I just got one from this website, www.ultimaterchobby.com, I personally love it, no problems. This is my first rc airplane, I am thinking of getting the art-tech yak 54 afterwards, any thoughts on that model?

Thanks in advance!

My new fuse and wing turned up today and like jumpmonkey said there are no servos or rods just the engine mount and cowl. Im going to cut up the old wing and try and figure out how to mount the 2 wing halves to the lower section of the fuse. I''ll be cheering if it flies ,but if not , theres always more epoxy. If anyone has any ideas about mounting the wings give us a yell

Hi All,
I have been reading the Forum since last Summer when I first had a Cessna, my first RC plane. I have learnt to fly with it, (I now only crash on alternate flights). Recently upgraded to a Towerpro brushless with 12V Lipos, followed the same path as most of you and it goes like stink.
I use a lightweight filler from Wilkinsons to make the repairs look better, it's cheap and makes a really good job.

Thanks again, it's a brilliant Forum.

Ash.
