A lot of the long distance folks go home Sunday, But it is still a good time.
They give out the Awards about 2:00 PM on Sunday and that is always a Hoot. Altho, as I can't make it this year, [:(] Jerry will have to find someone else to pick on during the awards presentations. LOL[;)][:D] [:)]

We are looking forward to Superman again this year! It has been great in the past years. I will not be bringing a plane though. Just going to watch and talk to the people.

It looks like it might be a highly kit bashed AV8R.....

yeahbaby -> RE: Superman 2004 event coverage and pictures (10/1/2004 9:17 AM)

I think it's called the Aerobat or something to that effect. I saw it in Tucson back in March. It flew real nice IMO.

buck

you might be able to find more info from searching through the Tucson Jet Rally pix thread from March.

Tom Antlfinger -> RE: Superman 2004 event coverage and pictures (10/1/2004 10:16 AM)

It is a new ARF from Aeroworks out in Colorado......construction is very similar to their Giant Scale birds, i.e. balsa fuse and foam wings and empennage......The demo team out in Tucson did not have a firm date for production, but estimated late fall 2004......I think it was estimated to be in the $1200.00 range, covered with Ultracote or something like it, and with fixed gear....

Like Buck noted, flew very well.....lands real slow.....and decent aerobatic performer......can't remember if he had a P-160 or P-120 on it.....

Anyone know how they got that cool chrome canopy effect on the gorgeous KingCat in the 2nd photo in post #16?

Thanks.

Alexdu -> RE: Superman 2004 event coverage and pictures (10/1/2004 5:19 PM)

Very nice pictures Eric. Thanks for sharing.

Is BV's big(new) Sabre present? How does it look and how big is it?

Regards

Alex

AnthonyW -> RE: Superman 2004 event coverage and pictures (10/1/2004 8:50 PM)

Woketman,
That Kingcat belongs to Jamie Snipes of Raleigh, NC.The canopy is actually chrome dipped if i am not mistaken. It really does look good. I am sure Jamie will chime in once they get back to provide more info.
