Hi everyone, I need some help with my engine on the car I review on the last page. I think it has some pretty serious problems, I'm not sure, and I would like some help if anyone is willing. This is my second nitro car, as I mentioned before, and I have never encountered a problem like this:

When I try and start it, it will pop the first time, but then take a good 50 pull to get it started. During these pulls, there is an immense amount of fuel being spat out of the exhaust, and it looks as if it has been part-burnt, as it is gloopy and almost a green colour. Further on during the pulling process, the fuel sometimes changes to smoke, so the fuel is burning, just the engine won't start. When it does eventually get stated, the engine will stall after 2-30 seconds (varies each time, but is not related to whether the glow heater is on or off), so the whole process had to be started again. It also frequently gets flooded, so I have to take off the glow plug and pull it until it is clear.

I try the following to get it started:

Making sure it is primed
Giving it a blip of throttle
Opening the trim so it is getting more air
Checking the glow system
Almost everything else that I have seen on all of these troubleshooting sites

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

try to lean out your fuel mix a bit it sounds like your running way to rich turn the screw at the top of the carb about 1/4 a turn in a clockwise direction and try to start it again.

Hi, everyone, thanks for your replies MJGEGB and kuzikood, you were both right! MY low speed needle seems to have wriggled itself loose, so it was waaay to rich, thus I couldnt start it. Also, my glow starter wasnt making good contcat, so I cleaned it up, and after around 7 pulls it started. It still won't start on the first pull though....

hello to all, i week ago i bought my smartech winner and is great..i have only 1 problem,
My problem is that when i put on the body of the car , its a skyline body that i bought from ebay, so when i put it on the car, the car is dramatically slower.!!! Is it because the air filter cannot breath enough air when i put the body? if this is the reason what do you suggest? i was going to cut the body at the front, but because i didnt want to destroy it, i will wait for your response here if you can help me where to cut it..and ofcouse if this is the reason and not something else...i check the exhaust but it is not blocked..altough it is inside the body, is not blocked...!

Also my car specifications are2.49cc bore:15 rpm 28000(engine specs)
Is the black engine not the purple..is is more powerfull than the 1.5?

Please advice

Thanks
