I recently purchased a Novak Smart tray discharger. While I was playing around with getting my packs to sit in the clips without poping out, one of the packs (or the tray) started sizzling and smoking! I immediately pulled it out, thinking I had it in wrong. That was not the case, it was in correctly. I took a junk pack I have and stuck it in the right way, and it too started smoking!

So I figured I had a bad tray, unplugged it, waited, and plugged it back in. Then I took a loose junk cell and put it in each of the six slots, looking for which one of them was shorted or had some other problem. All of them worked. I then tried connecting the junk pack again, and everything was fine.

Now the tray works perfectly, though I am a bit afraid to leave it unattended. Does anyone know what could have happened? I've ran a few packs through it since the smoking, and no sign of any problems.
