Today i took my 2 recently bought planes (from the same person) and went to the field. Well my 2 planes were a 1/4 scale edge 540 and a profile Carl Goldberg Extreme 330( a very fun plane). Well i had been flying my extreme as i was waiting for the wind to calm down to test fly my edge 540 ( the first test flight it was tail heavy and i had to keep adding forward elevator to keep it flying right, luckily i landed it safely). So ive been flying 6 months now im 14 years old, ive been practicing insane 3-d on my simulator. SO with these extreme 330 i kept coming around on a low pass, let the plane slow down harrier it 6 inches off the ground, snap it up right and do hovers a few torque rolls anywhere from 2 -10 feet off the ground. Id do this for a minute or so climb out go around and do ti again. Well one time i went around while one of the other guys was flyin his "junkyard dog" in the opposite direction and we crashed head on. My plane being a profile stayed together. his was balsa sheeted foam it went into about 100 pieces and took about 2 minutes for all of ti to fall. I tried to pull out of my dive but i had no control and it crashed with a thud. So me and him were saddened because we had these cheap planes that we were havin the most fun ever with and they both crashed. By the way if you are gettin into 3-d you should get an extreme 330 there so much fun. I only had $45 in the plane because the engine was given to me and the radio i had won. ( Thats the most fun ive had with $45 ) Needless to saw it was in pretty bad shape. So now i had this edge 540.( this isnt as bad as youll think) we took it up and it flew beautifully. I had my buddy test fly it so when the engine started to sputter we figured it was getting low so he brought it around but the idle wasnt so good so it cut out. Our runway isnt very even so he was trying to stretch it over this one big bump, and it did what no 3-d plane should do, it tip stalled. Did a half cartwheel. I walked out the only damged there appeared to eb was the wheel pant broke off and the ultracote upfront was ripped. However when i took all the stuff off, the braces for the front part of the wing on the fuesalage were all snapped. SO now i have no planes to fly. It should only take an evening to fix my edge but i burned the wing of my extreme 330. Boy will i miss that little plane. I think i left a lasting impression on everyone at the field that im the best pilot there though. Thank god its only 3 months to christmas, maybe ill get a 4d!!!

By the way this is the 4th midair collision at my field this season, very rare.
