You're both right on the money. I will never not sort my wood again. I have to tell ya, the sanding wasnt as big a deal as I thought it would be. It cleaned up real nice which makes ya so happy when everything else has been perfect. This is a real nice kit to put together. Well gotta go finish sheeting that other side now.

Dave

Well school is out for this semester so this is were I am at. (see pic)

I bought tranparent green, yellow, and solid black for colors (monokote). Not to sure how I am going to cover it but I do know that I am going to try the use of windex with putting on some fancier graphics. Fancier for me anyway.

The only changes I made to the kit were minimal. I narrowed the horizontal stab 1/4" and then moved the inboard edge of the aerodynamic counterbalencer on the elevator in 1/4". I love elevator. I also made the rudder a 1/4" longer as well.

The only reason I did this is because I don't think you can have to much of a good thing. When I build a kit I can never just follow the directions. I have to make it mine. From what I have read the changes I made were NOT needed but well this one is mine and now no one else has one just like it.

The ailerons as stock should make it role faster than you can count while at speed and I am sure have plenty of control at slow/3D speeds. Dang I wish it was warm out.

Oh yeah the nose of my plane looks a little bit funny with it sticking out like that but I haven't cut the black tube yet. (sorry)

Looks good Dave, Your moda are not needed but hey if it makes ya happy go for it. The roll rate of the Mojo is incredible. Paul has a 60 size one out now for 60-90 2strokes, that I am seriously considering. I received a new saito 100 for Christmas that would be perfect on there. But it is planned for the new omp ultimate bipe.

Also when cutting the back of the tube, a dremel with cut off wheel makes short work of it. I wouldn't breathe the dust however. You will have to make a bevel on it to allow for elevator deflection.

What motor are you planning on running??

My MOJO is going to get a Magnum .52a 2-stroke. I know its a cheap engine but the thing just out pulls my OS .50sx.

Man I can't figure out how to cover this thing. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out a good covering scheme. I even have a Monokote trim poster behind me.

I feel ya on covering. You kinda go through a writers block on colors.

In this situation I try to get a least a two view and get several copies and just start drawing. It took a long time and several sheets of paper but that is how I came up with this one which is now my favorite. Just keep drawing eventually you will get an idea that sticks.

Also keep an open eye for everyday things around you. I also have had several ideas from some of the quilts my wife makes. Just keep an open mind.

OK so here are some pics (2) of my finished wing. I still do need to cut out the hatches and do the fus and ailerons.

The top is a ripe off of the rare bear colors by thunder tiger and the bottom with the tare away came from a can of "Monster". That is one of those energy drinks that can kill ya I hear. I guess they go well with a smoke.
