Hi guys!

Which engine in your opinion pull better planes like H9 Edge 540 or Midwest Extra 300 or new WM Extra ( 80" span) ZDZ 40 or RCS 180?
Intention to fly 3D.
Thanks

If the plane is in the 12-15 lb range, I'd use the ZDZ-40. If it is in the 15-18 lb range, I'd wait for the ZDZ-50. Most Midwest Extras that I've seen, weigh in the 15-18 lb range. For unlimited vertical, pick the 50cc motor. The RCS 180 is way too small.

I have the RCS 180 ... not a bad engine but it weighs very close to the ZDZ and is a little lite on the power. Go with the ZDZ

I'm wondering the same thing. If the ZDZ 50 is lighter like RCS says it is, I wonder how you could go wrong with it on a H9 Edge?!? I've heard of guys running a BME 50 on the front of the H9 edge... Even If it was too much power, you could always cap the top end at like 75 % or something. Wait Nawwwww!!!!!
