fiddlefly, I live in Irvine (closer, not close though) ..if you need help..feel free to come up here! we have a great field with people flying nearly 24/7 and yah, you should get a real trainer but you can try starting with the Formosa (my first flight was with no buddy box and no instructions.. on the Formosa..and I didnt crash!) so yah..neva quit!
