Status: offline 		Just heard an interesting piece of news.....

At one of our district Q40 races on the weekend, a guy that is new to Q40 this year just decided he would run the APC 7.4 x 8 D1 prop and see what would happen.

Only two guys noticed he was using it and they didn't say anything. The new guy had a great time. He did his ten laps in each race, didn't have to worry about working props, breaking them, etc. The guys who usually win, won, and everyone had fun. Isn't this what it's all about ?

My conclusion is that the APC prop is a good thing for the new guy for sure. You never know until someone tries.

Darrol was offsite when I needed a wood prop at the NATS and I only had some APC CF props. I thought about trying it, but some people were keeping an eye on me and I knew I wouldn't get away with it.

I talked to a lot of people at the NATS and only one or two were in favor of keeping the APC prop out of 422. I also talked to some AMA officials and asked their opinion on the subject. The AMA will not have a problem with it as long as the rule is right. The real question is the Pylon Racing Contest Board. I didn't get to hear from enough of them to know what their opinion is on the subject.
