I flew my extra special all summer. I had the summer off, so I flew a lot. he he he.......I never had any trouble with this plane. Sometimes I would get in a dozen flights in a day and it just hung in there. In fact, it still looks great! I think I'll fly it tomorrow, too!

I like to hear this, I'm always glad when someone gets full value. It really does hurt to hear from somebody that crashed after only a few flights. Yes, sometimes I sell a replacement plane, but I prefer that people are out showing their plane off succesfully.

I'll add my .02 in here. I've got Edge #99 from the first batch. It has 221-15 min. flights on it now. The first 178 were with a G-62, after that with a DA-50. The plane is still holding up fine, and I still can't do everything this plane is capable of. Sure is fun trying though.

I just have to jump in here with AeroDave and NoGyro.

I've put about 93 flights on my Extra so far, and everything is staying together quite well. There is no looseness at any of the hinge points, the landing gear mounting plate and support angles have not moved or budged even a fraction, and the motor box and firewall are still like new and non-moving. That's a lot more that I can say for some of the other more expensive aerobatic ARF's that I've had in the last few years.

Tom, if you can keep up this kind of design and quality control, you'll never get to retire again. You will be too busy supplying the demand for high quality aircraft.

probobly ~20 flights in with my edge... would have more save for a very rainy summer killing all the weather when I was off of school and my recent two month long "vacation" from flying as I fixed the edge after stuffing it and breaking it in half. I love it though and fly the wings off of it every chance I get! I keep working on the setup every time I fly and one of these days I'll end up with a KILLER airframe.

Had over 175 Hard 3d type flights on mine. First dozen or so with a ZDZ 40, the rest with a ZDZ 50. Loved it to death, until a Radio turn on put me in while hovering. Only need a new fuse but I may have to wait a while due to new addition to the family.
Have been flying a World Models Extra with a BME 50. Ok plane but no way in the same catagory as my Edge. I can't wait unil I get a new fuse.

I wish, He didnt even admit it. About a month later at the field when I was about to take up the patty he came over and said something very perculiar that instantly let me know he was definitly the one.

I really wish I had that edge again though, I finally was getting those torque rolls down on the deck.
