Mike, I've just finished pulling out what little hair I have left after a long session trying to configure the Eclipse 7 to operate two separate aileron servos on a 3D funfly when using a 5-channel receiver.

You'd think there'd be no problem right -- the E7 is Hitec's top-line computer transmitter (correct me if I'm wrong) and you only need 5 channels and some mixing to do separate aileron channels.

I also have a plenty of 5-channel receivers laying about (including a 555) so I expected things to be easy.

Boy, was I wrong.

It seems that there's *no* way to get this functionality with a 5-channel receiver and the E7.

So, my question is -- can you use channel 5 on the Optic 6 in this manner or is it like the E7 in that, in the ACRO mode, that channel is strictly reserved as a retracts channel?

Hi Bruce,

Yes, I have set up flapperon/dual alierons on my old eclipse using a 5ch reciever. However, I cant remember how I did it . All I remember is that I think I used almost all 5 mixes, and it took me bloddy ages. But it can be done. If I rember rightly, I ran into all sorts of problems when I used high servo travel, so ended up adjusting the linkages mechanically to get the desired movement.
Dont give up yet ,

Stefan
