We are probably getting into some dangerous territory here ,but some of us over the ditch once said that  all this Cr@$^7  was going to happen once you educated the natives .
When they found out that they had a chip on their shoulders  then all hell was going to break loose
So the kiwi's won ,the Aussies won when do we meet again

Well Pete , not sure what is going on with the weather down under , it has not been a great summer for flying so far .
See that you are having floods over there again , plus the fact that some Biologist is suggesting that  importing Elephants , Komodo dragons and Hippo's  into Aussie  might be a good thing .

world is being turned upside down .

noah's ark, SHARK!! C'm on not that bloody hard!

Ok onto good things. Ran the GT-80 in the Seafury today. We had a few electrical issues to resolve, was using a cheap chinese switch on the ignition and all the solder joints on it let go so threw it in the bin and put a heavy duty JR D type switch. Why did I even think putting gook junk on it in the first place?

Then got it running, 22x12 Hqawk. Very broad prop, far too much for it, could only get it to pull 6000 rpm. Then it died and no amount of coaxing could get it to fire. After fiddling for a couple of hours it turned out to be the hall sensor was a bit too far forward and required the bracket bent a bit so the pick up head was over the magnet.

Put a Mejanik 21x12 on it and with cowl off it was pulling 7200 RPM - and smooth!! WOW Very happy with that.

Cowl back on and fired it up again, 7500 RPM!!!!! Man can't wait to get this bad boy in the air!

I'm think a low pass from a dive and it should unload to about 8,000 so a nice snarl as it goes by. As the engine beds in and RPM goes up I might go up to a 22x12 but in a Mejanik, not the hawk. I'll stir my paint withthe Haqwk. Chinese rubbish.

you guys are hilarious.........Question for the P47 brotherhood. How did you guys simulate or make the oil cooler exhaust openings on the fuse behind the cowl and those under the fuse behind the wing fairing? i want to duplicate this feature but "DON'T"want to mess up the fuse in the process. Thanks
