The captive ball links are the way to go. I am working on the canopy, building up the rear for a retaining screw. Also put on the 22X10 prop to have a look.................sure will pull lots of air.

Craig

I like the look of those. Linky for the source?

Tom

Ain't that the truth. We are hoping to be ready for paint within a week or 2 (I have to work this weekend so I'm figuring 2 for me).

I also have a 35% plane that needs the hatch glassed to smooth out the canopy so I'm going to knock this out at the same time.

Well finaly got started on the sanding, one side of the fuss and so far it looks like the extra sanding at pre-glassing, then the acrilic with micro bloon and sanded back after glassing prior to priming has payed off, as I don't seam to have any large bumps and vallys to work over, but we will see.

oh yeah it will haul around quite nicely

consider the 47 with G62 class engine, 85" span, approx 28lbs

my Sea fury, 90" span, same G62 but at 42lbs!!!

more then enough grunt for the 47

Still plugging away on the P-47. I installed the cockpit, and front windscreen. Still need to do a few more touch ups. Installed the wing and set her on her feet. I am still waiting for the exhaust header, need to balance and loctite some parts. Other than that, she is almost ready

Hello Craig,

Does the gear door close on your P-47. I have bought the sierra gears, you see it on the previous posting (Michel Gravelle) and the instructions say that the doors will not close by 1/8 - 1/16 inch.

Do you have a pic or refer me to a page on this post so I can follow your steps.

Thank you,

Normand
