Well, the jet guys ponied up with all kinds of pictures of their gorgeous jets. Let's see all the warbirds you guys are flying! Post a picture here right now. Just upload the image with your post or if it's on the web already just link to it with the "img" tag and it will appear inline with your post!

Image should be smaller than 150k so the page loads fast for modem users. You should be able to get it under 75k as a jpeg with 600x600 or smaller dimensions although our site will accept a larger image if necessary.

Simple, where it says attach file under the posting text area when posting you click the browse button and find the file on your hard drive. When found select it to upload. You will see it's name in the little box next to the attach file text. When you post it will upload. Could take awhile depending on your modem speed and file size.

Here is a picture of my best attempt at scale so far. It's a modified 1/7th scale Dave Platt Spitfire. I widened the fuselage, made some mods to the nose and stabs to make it a Mk 12, and moved the retracts to a scale location. It flies nice now that I installed a stock SuperTigre muffler. I had the Top Flite in-cowl muffler set up when I first built it, but despite all attempts to cool the engine it would quit from getting too hot. Heck, the outer sleeve of the pushrod melted!

I am finishing up a Goldberg Chipmunk and I'll post it once it's done within the next month.

JohnVh,

What kind of F-14 is that picture of Great Planes? I can see that is not a ducted fan and GP is the only one I am aware of. I'm suprised at how scale it looks in flight. If only one could get the sweep wing thing working.

Yup that's mine.
It's a GP F-14, ASP .75, stock muffler, manufactureres recommended retracts. It was the 3rd plane I built.
I had it clocked at 113 which is about how fast it was going in that pic....about 4-5' off the grass.
I like it but it's getting old and showing signs of wear.

Here's another Spit, this time a Yellow kit. Nice kit and a great flyer. Regards, Chad.

Nice Spitfire Chad. Mk 14?

Since the pictures are a little slow coming, I'll post another. It's yours truely holding a Great Planes Mustang. I kit-bashed it into the earlier "B" model by changing the canopy and building up the turtle deck. It was an easy way to have something a little different... Oh, I called it Miss E. My wife's name is Elaine so a pleasanr side-effect was that funding was there whenever it need repair...

Thanks Bruiser, yes it's a MkXIV. I originally intended it to be a PR MkXIX but I sold it before it was done and the new owner wanted it finished as a MkXIV (he did the paint work). Very nice kit bash of the GP Mustang by the way. That has to be one of the best sport warbirds on the market. Here is a pic of a B Mustang that I'm just finishing up for a customer (same guy that bought the Spit!).

Here's one more. This one is for me and I hope to have it done very soon. Built from Brian Taylor plans, 72 inch wing, OS 1.08, and Spring Air retracts.

...posting this pic of my Dad's scratch built Hurricane. From enlarged rubber powered plans, about 42 inch span with a TD. 09, hand launch. Can't wait to fly this one, should be interesting!
