Status: offline 		I recently built from the Eureka Aircraft short kit. Overall a good way to go now the MK kits have all been spoken for. Given you have a bit of building experience, grab the parts listing / drawings from Eureka and spend a few minutes working out which bit is which (reasonably intuitive, but parts are not marked!), it is well worth it.

 I just picked up a Curare this evening. This looks bigger than a 60 size plane, Did they build a bigger one?  It has a fiberglass fuselage with foam core 2 piece wings with an aluminum joiner. It has not been completed as the guy that had it passed away and another guy ended up with this plane. The gentleman was setting it up for a OS pumped 120..

 Is there any information available? I've read most of the old post but none with wing span, length, Weight, balance position and control surface measurements.
 Any information is much appreciated.

Status: offline 		Mmm... Not having seen it and if I was a betting man, I'd say most likely not a Curare.

It's just the catch word for any pattern classic these days. It's sort of like if it has anhedral in the stab, it's got to be a Curare...

Status: offline 		Can't wait to see that taildragger go, and just love that main gear. It looks really cool compared to the straight legged conversions I've seen that one looks almost as good as the trike gear, but NO hassle with steering, or grass fields .

As I suspected, not even close to a Curare as you can see. This plane was designed and developed 20 some years later. It was designed for turn around and is indeed setup for a piped 120.

I know this plane as I've seen it before but the name escapes me. I want to say Typhoon but not quite.

I didn't get into Pattern ships and flying until a little over 10 years ago. Then with the years I haven''t flown I'm out of the flow of Radio Control period. Everything has changed..

As they say, an original MK Curare 60 is priceless.

It is not a very difficult plane to build though if you have some kits under your belt.

The trickiest part is getting the stab to wing relationship right and getting the anhedral stab bang on. Models with anhedral stabs are trickier to align than models with flat or airfoiled stabs with no anhedral or dihedral. You really want to install the stab last once the wing and fuse have been squared up.

Going with foam core wings and stabs ought to also make for a truer model.
