hello guys. well today sucked to say the least. last week i broke the diff cases again. this morning i put 2 new sets on the truck. i went over to do some bashin. man, i never even got through the FIRST TANK!!!! first i broke another damn clutch spring. figures! but, then i broke not 1 but both damn diff cases!!!! front and rear!! and snapped a shaft on the right front. not even 5 min runtime. well as you can immagine im about to snap!!! i got out ran by 2 old beat to crap t-maxx's. they held up better than me!!!! do you know how embarrasing that is? i have so much money dumped into this thing. then the mayhem hits the track. the guys had it for months and hasnt even lost a body clip. no trouble at all!!! so. this may be the last of my lst. im so sick of it right now. who wants it?? she's being sold as soon as i can find someone foolish enough to buy it!!! maybe if i just sit and chill a bit i might calm down. i will post some of the pics tomorrow at work. if any of you want to see the crap that is! im sorry to go off on a rant guys.. but you are all i got.

Instead of continuing to dish out money for more plastic cases why not get the aluminum upgrades? I haven't heard any cases of them breaking yet.

The clutch spring could be because you are using the old-style black springs that came with the truck. They sent my replacements a while ago (i think they're silver) and besides being almost impossible to get on they hold up great. Call Losi and ask for those springs.

As for the shaft, I'm not sure if that was the part Losi also upgraded by adding more material where the wheel connects or not but do ask them about it when you call about the springs. I remember there were many cases of "weak axles" when this truck first came out.

My question is how you managed to break all these parts? The only way I can think of is just dropping it off a building or some cliff or something because once one of those parts break the truck becomes virtually unusable. I don't know how you managed to keep going hard enough to break the rest of those parts but you've earned the award of toughest basher from me.

i didnt even beat it. didnt have time. 5 min runtime. i have the ofna aluminum shoes on it.so its not a losi defect there. thats a first. i am going to get the aluminum cases on them. im checking horizon later. i was just doing warm up laps. if thats beating it then im good.as for the shaft, it broke on top . one of the 2 little ears on it. i will put the new cases on it. and a new shaft and springs. if it breaks again its gone! its been a money pit. for a little less i cat get something i can pound on with out the worries. maybe after a year or so losi will pull there head out of their buttocks and fix it. then i would love to have another one. for now i want to play damnit!!! not play for 5 min and break it and wait a week for more parts before i can play again.

Waiting on parts isn't fun but it is part of the hobby unless you are lucky enough to live near a good LHS. And I hate to say don't give up on the truck as I can see you are almost to the end of your rope. When I have a problem with one truck I just drag out another so it doesn't upset me as much

oh man, ive been one of the biggest supporters of this truck. as you can probebly see over the month or so. i love the truck. when it runs. and i can understand a few breaks. ive owned 2 t-maxx's. story of my life. but this thing is just too much. i have a wife and a kid. and now a set of twins on the way. i can still afford this obby. i just want to be able to enjoy it. and im seriously starting to doubt this truck is the way to go. i will see after the aluminum diff cases. but im goin nuts here.

oh it runs right. ive done a fair share of stomping the competition. its just more than a little sad when 2 t-maxx's with over 6 gallons a piece out run me today. they both did break, but about 2 hours after mine was sitting in the back of my car. its just flat out sad! my xtm x-cellerator at least kept on running. it took hitting something for it to explode everywhere.
