Nitro...sold a Javelin? Damn! one of my favorite cars EVER, next to the AMX and the first gen Torino and the '70-72 Cutlass and a few others...

I hope your dad gets the AMX. I passed on a '70 Javelin about 7 or 8 years ago and i've been kicking myself in the butt ever since it was a rust-free car in Michigan...how often does THAT happen?

yeah i hope we get the AMX too its good to know that we have AMC fans on here, thats rare, yeah the car was perfect rolled of the showroom floor condition all we did was put the wheels and dual exhaust on it its even the original paint! heres the only thing we have left of it, some pics. we got $15,000 for it so we did good tho. an wow yeah that is really rare to find a rust free car in michigan lol.

Every weekend I drive buy a shop that has at least 3 amx's or javelins and wonder when I am going to buy one for myself, As of now my dad and I have too many projects going so we don't have the time to build one but the day will come soon hopefully.

Those TT's really look great on that car and it is a great color too.

It's a shop that buys wrecked cars and fixes them up, they have one finished AMX and I think two unfinished javelins. The AMX has been for sale for a while but it doesnt look too good up close, they must have rushed the resto. I don't know the status on the unfinished cars but If you like I can check it out for you.

What condition car are you looking for? two of them are really beat up needing a full ground up restoration and the AMX is complete but done very poorly, I wouldnt recommend these cars unless you want something to restore.

I will stop by as soon as I can to find out prices and years.

well we would prolly only be interested in the AMX cuz we are looking for something that needs a little work, so if you could find out what he wants for it that would be awesome. if the price is reasonable we would be interested. also see if u can find out 3 things: motor size? 4 speed? go pac car? thanks man for doing this i appreciate it, just pm me when u find out something, or u can just post on here thanks.

i dunno about anybody else, but i'd rather start with a crappy complete car than a mint car missing a bunc of stuff

well yeah it depends on the car and how bad it really is, we have limited funds so we are not going to do a total resto

oh man! well thanks anyway. there was one here in town that weve beeen trying to get forever, it a 69 390 4 speed go pac car, thats been sitting for ever its got some rust and needs restored and the guy turned down our $7000 offer, and there was a 70 chalanger in town thats been sitting for like 15 years, he wont sell, there a 64 409 425 horse 2 four 4 speed ss impala sitting in a carport for 20 years, he wont sell. lol but we found some in oregon and a few in spokane that we are gong to follow up on. we are going to look at a 65 corrnet big block 4 speed car this weekend for $4000. but its amazing how people just let things sit and dont sell!
