The shape of the rip was cut with a knife and not actually ripped.

just cut the whole rip out of your masking material and follow the steps i have previously explained.
The next time i do these type of rips i will take pics step by step.

I am currently taking step by step pics of the rips on the purple stratus I have previously done in the red and blue schemes

Heres where im upto with them I should get the rips filled in tomorrow and the grills done.

The red bits are the vinyl i use to mask off.
I have used Tamiya acrilic cans for the purple as i could not get hold of the pactra laquers i wanted.
This has been backed however with silver pactra laquers thinned with cellulose and i have had no reaction.

I did a test run on a scrap piece of lexan a couple of days before and I have bent it, wacked it and tried to scrape it off with my nail, it is holding fast

Hey Ste,

All 3 of those look stunning!
I've tried emailing you sometime last week, havent got a reply and for some reason ive got it in my head someone's said your on holiday, though the person i thought said this denys all knowledge hehe.
If your still on british soil and working away, gimmi a shout when you can, as im looking to see how far we can push your skills After seeing these Watson/Maddison paintjobs im pretty damn impressed, so it'd be nice to what else you can do.
Theres 3-5 shells all in all, possibly a couple of others, all needed for the start of the racing season.
Also in the email is a proposal (sounds a little scary on Valentines day doesnt it!!) for you if your interested.

Gimmi a shout when you get this, apologies for interupting the thread, i'll stick a pic of the last shell i painted in to make up for it hehe

Done for a mate, mix between Surikarn's WC winning scheme and Rheinards WC winning colours (strangly that was painted a week before the worlds, so i think our World Championship winning theme was the main reason for Marc's success, not his amazing talents )
