Gary, the servos are already mounted behind the cabin. I have a G-38 in mine and it balances with no additional weight. Your Saito 1.80 is much lighter and will require some additional nose weight. If you move the servos even further back, you will need to add that much more nose weight to balance. In fact, you might consider installing the servos at a more forward location to avoid or minimize any added weight. There is plenty of room to work with. The kit builds up with a completely open cabin area for the option of detailing it, if you want. Or you can use that space to mount servos. Builder's choice. Good luck with your build. It is a fun kit.

Thanks Jim!

here is a very sunny day now (over 30 Celcius degrees), but bit windy.
I'll wait till evening for smaller wind.
In the middle time I'm working again on my Bristol F2b adding a fuselage "lacing".

here is a pic:

I am almost done with my decathlon, However I have a delem with installing the windows. This is the first time I have installed plastic windows and I am hoping someone may have some tips. My kit is has just some plastic windows pre-cut, and acording to the direction I am to just glue them on the outside of the airplane. I would like to creat a mold and have some windows vaccum formed for the perfect fit from the inside. However there is no one in the area I can find that does vacum molding. Any other ideas???

What kit are you building? What you describe does not appear to be the Dynaflite kit.

Good point, I bought just a skeleton at a swap meet. I think it may be a great planes design.

Sorry I can't be much help with your kit, not knowing what it is. On the Dynaflite kit, the front windshield is a formed (molded) clear plastic piece that is trimmed and attached on the outside. I used small screws on mine. The side windows are flat on the full scale as well as the kit. In this case, a single sheet of plastic is glued to the inside of the cabin area for both side windows. This works well on this kit as the cabin sides at this point are 1/8" lite ply and it produces a convincing window effect. Vacuum forming windows would be a lot of unneccessary work in my view. Just cutting the plastic to shape would be a lot simpler, if the one piece idea won't work on your design. Good luck with your kit completion.

Few days ago my Decathlon had his maiden flight in www.glidezar.com . On the take off run it's solid like rock. No rudder needed. Just after take off - vertical climbing
It reacts very realistic on the sticks. Landings are gentle like breeze.
During yesterday's landing I broke tail wheel (just under plastic chassis). It's really piece of crap.
I've to make new one.

Will put here some pictures later (when receive it from my friend)

Hey, Marek, I'm glad to hear you are pleased with your plane's flight. I recall you have a lot of power to do some glider towing? Do you feel good about the engine power you have?

Good news on your model's maiden flight. I would like to see your tail wheel improvement in case I may need to do something like it in the future (no tail wheel problems on mine, so far, though).

Jim

Here are few pictures.

Regarding modification - I'll do something like this:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBN39&P=0

I'll do some glider towing next month. Probably will change propeller to 20x8 two-blade or 19x8 tri-blade

Marek, those are terrific pictures. Some good photographer you have there. The pictures are great, however, i couldn't open the modification you referred to. The plane looks wonderful!

mRqS, WOW! beautiful photos of what appears to be perfect flying. Great to see it finally in the air, congratulations on your maiden successful flight.

My s. decathlon is almost completed, about 95 %, i am going to add a bisson muffler, batshare, lithium packs, low fuel indicator circuit, i also need to get me a lithium charger, after i get these items i feel i will be ready for the maiden flight.
