Everyone of us has had to learn from our errors ommisions and experiances. Building a model from scratch for anyone the first few times is a challenging task. This forum give us all a place to share with, and learn from others. As we progress and gain experience many things become second nature to us. When someone asks about the seemingly trivial tasks on a project we often forget that once upon a time, that tasks was not so trivial to us either.

Don't get discorage and think you cant build it. You are building it now! You will ask fewer questions and have stronger oppions on your next project, and the next, and then one day, you too will think that some of your questions were trivial. But then, only the experts find trivial questions... And when you truely master the art of scratch building, you will find that with all you know, there is always something to learn!

Again, don't get discoraged. The world needs more scratch builders. It is quickly becoming a lost art. Stand up and take pride that you had the fortitude to complete a difficult project, that you can stand next to your plane and state truthfully, "I Bult It From Scratch!" and take pride in the job you've done. Your efforts will pay off in many ways. None more noticable than the envy of your follow ARF pilots on the flight line...

So as we say in the Midwest, Cowboy Up and keep cranking out the saw dust :-)

Status: offline 		I`m going to lift a bit of covering from the horizontal and and verticle. Epoxy the horizontal to the tail section.When cured ,slide the rear 4" portion,of the top of fuse,with the slot into place, with epoxy.. I`ll then be able to set-up cables ,prior to closing in, the rest of fuse top..some of the pics are exagerated just for show..D.B.

Status: offline 		Thankyou COWBOY ,but I`m not the Designer, just the HACKER BIPE actually, turned me on, to the color sceme ..I only gave it ,a bit of personal twist..I think the boys are going to be scared, to fly this,after seeing their FREE FLIGHT ,reconstructing itself last weekend.I`ll see if I can break out the laser,and Sq. things up, and epoxy the tail down this eve.... D.B.

Status: offline 		indespensible,disposible, and enviromentaly..ANDREW I see you here now .I`m about to go to the store will a 2 1/4 ounce tank be too big. also with the wheels would there be any problem with 2 1/4" rear ,2" front.OR stick with the plans(going to be on grass here) I`m also going to check and see what they want for the micro servo..What else am I forgetting???servo tray maybe??got lots of 1/8 ply too

Status: offline 		2 1/4oz sounds good. I use a 2oz for my .061/.074 powered planes. The larger wheels wont hurt if you get light ones. I fly off of grass and I use 1.5" wheels, but it is kept very short.

Status: offline 		You're not going to believe this. Red Green just came on and on "Handyman's Corner" he explained how to take an old clothes dryer and remove the spinning drum, put in shelves and use it to dry the dope on model airplanes. As a bonus it vents the fumes outside.

You dont need full length guide tubes with a pull/pull system, just exit guide tubes at the rear. This is why they are so light an instalation.The tubes only need to be small dia too- 1/16" bore or so.

Status: offline 		I`m glad you caught me Stewart...My thinking was to ease routing to the servos,keeping the lines seperated.I`ll change my thinking, and just make them, 1/2" long, or so..I`ve only got the 1/8" od.,3/32" id. ny-rod.I was about to start epoxying this stuff,THANKS...Starting to show, my 1/2A intelligence again ....OH,,OH... I`ll lose the wall, at f-4 too then...D.B.

Status: offline 		It`s difficult to take pics of the laser, but will do my best to show(can`t stand in line with it so it appears crooked ,but really isn`t).NEXT ,I`ll correct the tail. 1/16" to make perfect.and then take pics again to show the correction....D.B.

Status: offline 		Well thats it, you can see everything is straight and true,and square ..DID I ever mention.....I LOVE my LASER Now, I can get, into some servo mounting..I`ll just make a tray, and mount the servos in that for now, then move the whole works around later for balance... D.B
