Your drawing is correct except for the inner ribs. Here is a picture. The ribs, drawn in blue, need to be at the very centre and will be angled slightly so that they are flush with each other. The best way to do this is to dry fit the wing panels, dihedral brace and the inner most ribs and then glue everything into place.

Thank you Andrew, now I got something to work with ,as far as paint goes that is perfect. I scribbled a bit more on that photo does it look right.? Am I understanding you correctly? I`ll be using FUTABA standard size servos .SHALL I just build a mount .for the one in the Wing, or do you have something special in mind for that too.I was thinking a simple pair of rails, and a light braceing. I could use paint again on a photo to show you , what I was thinking of doing...I`ll just draw that up, while you here ,and that way I can plan my next steps.

Install spruce rails for the servo. With the servo mounted it will look like this.

It will be best with micro servos, like Hitec HS81s, especially in the wing. If you use standard servos, complete the plane, mount the engine, install the fuel tank and battery before deciding on the final position of the servos as they will affect the CG significantly depending on their position. Keep in mind that standard servos will add 4 to 6oz more than micro servos.

Okay NOW I understand. Good thing you cleared that up for me.Thanks. i CAN SEE THAT, AS BEING, A MUCH STRONGER WING NOW.. GOOD THINK I DIDN`T RUSH ALONG YESTERDAY OR I WOULD BE doing some constructive, destruction, today I couldn`t imagine how I was going to bend that sheeting in the centre if I ran the grain the way it`s shown on the plan..I`m not going to make that drawing because I can see that the sheeting will keep the ribs from flexing out ..

Okay I`ll check over the weekend ,into that mail order(web) address you gave me for the balsa and see what they can do for mein regards to electrics.THE shop over here is way to expensive for radio equipment.SINCE I`ve got Futaba I would like to stay with that brand and maybe see if they sell a MICRO_ flight pack with a reciever and battery so I` wont have to take my electrics out for my plane.I`ll be able to , just change models on the TX..I`ll let you go for now.. THANKS again..DAVE B.

WELL the wing is joined .I have a few shear webs to make and place yet,,and some sanding,to do.Also need to put the mechanical in with the ailerons..

WHAT I NEED to find is a half price sale, on that micro-flight pak,or I think, I`ll have no choice ,but to use what I have,now..That small stuff is expensive ..D.B.

The Hitec micro flight pack is the same price as the standard size, except you only get 3 servos.

I think I`m going to talk to the Kids dad, and ,insist that HE BUY them ,A RADIO SET , with the micro equipment.Something compatible with my system,so my BUDDY switch,on my radio , can be used to teach them.Otherwise I`ll pick them up a system as a Christmas gift..I`ve kind of blown my R/C budget for the year at this point.I`ve got an idea I want to run by you ANDREW, and get your opinion, before I do it,to see what you think. I`ll do one of my photo painting things this evening for you to look at..I had visitors drop in, so I`ve not been able to do much today ,and want to get a bit more done yet ,before I spend all my time on the computer.THE sky opened up with rain(got dark) and I was able to take a couple of good shots, using one of my favorite airplane building tools...I LOVE MY,,,,, LASER...It dosn`t show up in pictures well, in normal daylight, so I took the oppurtunity, to do it now..

.HI EVERYONE..I`m back!!we had an electric storm last SUNDAY eve. and it blew my modem in the computer. The telephone lines been checked and the modem changed .I miss my computer when things go wrong with it.I`ve been ,slowly picking at the trainer, while I was off the NET.But i have a question for ANDREW,about the fire wall.I don`t see any thing in regards to right ,or down thrust, and the drawing apears to show the engine mounted SQ.and center .Is this correct or should be putting some offset, and thrust angles to this firewall.?? I`m at that point now and will getting close to finished by the end of the weekend..I hope nobody thought I gave up on this project..DAVE B.

.A couple pics..

You may need a couple degrees of down and right thrust, but I usually start at zero and then shim the motor mount with washers if the thrust lines need to be adjusted.
