So how does the true simulator compare against the MS product? Or, how does the ATR 42/72 compare to either simulator?

On a side note. Bash-Ace. I was stationed at Eglin for a short period. From there, I went to Tyndall on the F-15 smulator program. Was wondering if you were affiliated to the Armed Forces in any way?

Bash,

We have hundreds, if not thousands of pictures of the ATR. If need be, I can check with some of our MX. Trng. instructors and probably get photo's you will need.

If I can help out, let me know.

Ted

I am affiliated with the USAF, I work on ground based navigation systems, ILS, TACAN, VOR, DME, etc. Right now the points of interest for pics would be detailed pics of the landing gear hardware (struts, and mounts), and pics of the flap system fully deployed. Matt has access to detailed drawings of the ATR, but some pictures would shed some additional light on the big picture. I have all the pictures I could find on specifics on the airliner.net website, but not a lot in the areas mentioned.

Hi Ted, I have not flown the MS ATR. I would love to but don't spend too much time with the simulator on my pc...my son usually has it tied up.

Hey guys, sorry about the delay in updates, I'm getting ready to move up north and have been busy packing and tying up loose ends. All my stuff will be gone in a week and a half until I move into my house sometime in late October. I will be keeping the ATR plans and materials with me so I'll have something to do when everything is gone. My home email will be disconnected on the 7th of October, but I will still have access at work to a computer.

Good to hear from ya, we have another interested party in our project. I am in the final stages of getting my work shop in order (closing on a house took more time than I anticipated), gotta start a contract scratch build OV-10 for someone in a few weeks, plan on picking up the ATR again in that time frame, I want to see that bird in my hangar also. I think the last task was getting the weight of the items being mounted in the wing, engines, servo's, etc.

Gentlemen, say hello to the wing center section core box for the prototype, hopefully I'll have the outer panel core boxes cut out later this PM. Started drawing in the internal fuselage structure which will be a truss built box with foam core outer panels. I have to wait until I get the registered version of Compufoil before I can print out my templates for the airfoils, maybe next week unless one of you have it. More to follow...
