Status: offline 		Does anyone know what size standoffs are needed for a WH Edge and a ZDZ 50 NG? Also, did you richen the high end before you started the engine and then adjust it or just leave it as is?

Status: offline 		Ok, lets try this... how far forward does the drive hub need to be from the firewall on a Wild Hare Edge?

Status: offline 		Hmmm good question.. Manual doesn't say.. Mine will be here tommorow.. He said cause I bought the DA-50 from him he will be including 3" stand-offs and i would need another 1/4" If I remember correctly.. My guess is like 6.7 - 7" Tom ought to chime in with the exact dimension..

Status: offline 		I have the ZDZ-60RV in my Edge 540T.
I used a 1 1/16" stand off for a total of 7"
from firewall to drive hub.
the ZDZ-50NG case is smaller so adjust as needed.

Status: offline 		I got a Q.. With these bigger planes, if the cowl lengh allows, do you adjust the firewall to hub distance to help your CG? I am asking cause a lot of guys with the EF Yak-54 are doing that to make balancing easier..

Status: offline 		on the wild hare's the cowl is pre mounted at the factory. We Adjust the engine to fit the cowl. the CG on this bird is thought out pretty well by the designer.

Status: offline 		The measurement is approximately 7". I say approximately because each person has their own idea of how tight to make the spinner<>cowl fit. If I say 7" someone will surely make it exactly 7" and then complain that ther is 1/16" too much or too little gap.

The reason it is not adjustable in length is because the plane was tested with certain moments, exact distances from the CG to the thrust point and to the tail. If one starts changing these measurements flight characteristics will change.

Status: offline 		Ben I just made some Stand offs for my ZDZ and edge and they were 1-11/16" long.
This gives me about 1/8" from the cowl...
