I'll have to agree with BigNed, this program rocks! I've had it about 24 hours now and am not disappointed. It blows away my G2.

pauluk2w,

Come on, man. The kid just got out of the hospital. Have a little compassion.

How are you doing, Scott. Are you feeling better now? I didn't know you were in the hospital, bud.

It was worth the wait. This is hands down, the most awesome rc flight sim I have ever seen. I'm running it full tilt max everything, and not so much as a twitch. Very smooth, very realistic. Not perfect by any means, but MUCH better than anything else.

Now I need a 27" monitor

Nick:

It's a joke man. Scott's smart enough to figure it out. I was given him the benefit of the doubt. He might very well earn his own funds. If his folks got it for him, more power to him. I wish I got stuff like that when I was a kid. Heck I wish for stuff like that now that I'm an adult. At least I try to pretend to be. ;-)

Scott, I hope your improving fast. Being sick sucks. You can have all the toys in the world, and it won't make up for bad health. People your age are too young to be going through bad stuff like that. I truly wish you the best.

Lee Snover

I had a chest tube installed once! Busted up ribs, punctured lung from hard hockey check. Looked just like it!

It's not fun when they yank that thing out!

Dion... I got a question. When using the interface sim...does the TX need to be in perfect cond? If not having a backup battery like in a JR X347 a big deal? This TX has a round hole for trainer/dsc input in the back. What can one expect with the controls like dual rates ...ect...ect on the Radio as far as using it to use the simulator? Thanks John

Dion, I have never had the torture of having a chest tube inserted but as an EMT i have seen many done and i can honestly say i never want it done. that has to be the most painful thing i have ever saw. Scott i hope you have a great christmas and you get well soon.

That's a really good question and I'm glad you asked! I use an 8103 and 662 for AFP and D. Now I dropped my 662 and broke a swtich a couple days ago. So now it's a 5 channel. However I just assigned the other switch to the keyboard. So no problem!

But I can still use dual rates and mixes. AFP will translate whatever your own radio will as far as mixes, rates, expos and so forth right out of the box.

So to answer your question the radio does NOT have to be perfect! As long as you can calibrate the working sticks and switches, you're all set!

My buddy just got AFPD and he has the exact computer as I do and at the most gets 70 fps and thats with clouds off smoke off...I had already ordered the upgrade but havent sent my disk in yet..With AFP Im getting between 160-210 fps..I couldnt believe what a difference!!! The deluxe is alot better but I cant afford to drop any more $$ on a new card...

I have 64 of ram and have 2 slots open..If I increase this will it make any difference??
