We will start taking orders this Monday on first come first serve. There will be an upgrade version available, however no details have been given. With new and improved physics, especially on the smaller birds, this should be VERY interesting!

----------------------

The long awaited AEROFLY PROFESSIONAL DELUXE (USB)
Initially we will only be getting the interface version. The Game Commander version is probably not available before January 2005. the most popular features of the previous Aerofly have been retained.

New Features:

· Over 12 unique airfields (several of them with stunningly realistic 360 degree photographic sceneries

· Superbly detailed 3-D indoor scenery for use with Shock and Slow Flyers

· Over 50 extremely detailed models (gas and electric powered) including 3-D Aerobats, TOC torque machines, Biplanes, Helicopters, Jets (incl. a Harrier), Slow, Park and Shock Flyers, Gliders, Slope Soarers and more.

· The most realistic simulation for 3-D flying

· Incredible flight performance due to our new Physics and Flight Code

· Real environment reflection mapping for stunningly realistic model presentations (scenery is reflected from the model surface)

· Fog and smoke simulation (fully customizable)

· New lighting effects like sunlight reflections

· Superior wind modeling. The terrain shape is taken into account when computing wind, turbulence and thermals

· Cockpit mode with real instruments

· Practice free-style with music

· The best collision detection in an R/C flight simulator

· Autorotation practice for model helicopters

· 3-D Doppler Sound Effect (even on gliders!)

· Absolutely realistic ground handling

· Break-apart aircraft feature (during extremely high G maneuvers or crashes)

· USB interface for your own transmitter or with the Game Commander

· 4-channel Game Commander with additional 2 switches and an analog channel

· Easy Plug & Play installation: no calibration or drivers required

· Split screen capability

· Competition events such as drag racing, pylon racing, balloon popping, spot-landing

· Multi-window picture-in-picture viewing

· Scale-like operating retracts and sweep wings

Aerofly Professional Deluxe (interface version) 179.00 (first quantities late November)

Aerofly Professional Deluxe (Game Commander version) 229.00 (Jan. 2005)

As you can tell AFP Deluxe has also concentrated on the 3D models as well as the photo realistic models. Personally I like the 3D worlds better then the photo real worlds, I've been a gamer for many years and that's just the way I like it better.

Mudsurfer1234 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/5/2004 11:24 PM)

can you collide with the objects in the photo sceneries? and is there multiplayer? and can you go behind an object in the photo sceneries?

curious becuz i am interested in buying

exeter_acres -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/5/2004 11:29 PM)

any idea if all the downloadable airplanes currently available will also work in Deluxe......

darn...I think I just drooled on my keyboard waiting for this release![:D]

Shahid -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 1:05 AM)

Mudsurfer: If this is comparible to XTR you SHOULD be able to do everything in the photo scenaries. It just that they use the photos as the opbject.

XTR graphics were well good, so frikin realistic the shadows and all, hope deluxe is just as.

shahid

Yes all current planes work with AFP. They have improved the physics engine, not the models. I just can't imagine what an improved physics engine is going to be like. I'm as excited as any of your are to get it going. That gym and Shocky's looks awesome.

Mudsurfer1234 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 7:09 AM)

and you can make your own planes right? and download new ones for free?

sorry for all the questions, but im trying to decide between AFPD and G3

LeeU -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 8:04 PM)

I was on the Ipacs web page; they said that they are working on how the upgrade is going to work. They mentioned that it would be $80 Euro which converts to $103.00 US.
To upgrade you would need to send your original AFP disk (NOT THE UPGRADE DISK) and the old interface cable for the upgrade. I have no problem with that as this is a lot better than upgrading to G3 for a $50.00 credit. LeeU

Mudsurfer1234 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 8:09 PM)

found out about the infront or behind objects thing...

almost looks like you can do both

LeeU -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 8:13 PM)

Mudsurfer,
Where did you get those screen shots from. LeeU

Mudsurfer1234 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 8:26 PM)

the rc-sim.de forum can't tell what they saying cuz i didn't learn that much german, but i know they said you could change it

Ian.W -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/6/2004 8:55 PM)

[X(][X(][X(][X(] i think i need a new PC......i need this! does anyone know what the requirements will be?/???

the indoor scenery looks more liek the old style graphics, i hope the shocks fly better than the downloadable ones!

however, i hope the upgrade isnt expencive, the original AFP burnt a big hole in my wallet, i hope this one doesnt[:o]

rajul -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/7/2004 4:00 PM)

Flyingbaer, thanks for the clarification

LeeU -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/7/2004 4:25 PM)

I did notice if you look at the pics that Mudsurfer got from the rc-sim.de website one can tell that the shadows and the blades line up with the tables and white post in the back ground in both pics, it looks like the fence was moved and not the heli. LeeU

hgiles -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/9/2004 9:47 PM)

$103 for an upgrade sounds like a lot of money to me. Seems to me they could/would do better for existing customers.

I am not inclined to upgrade at this rate, but I do like AFP. I just do not feel the extras are worth $103.

I feel the same way . It's about $ 130.00 CDN for an upgrade
IMO , Its a little too steep
AFP sells for $ 189.00 CDN

Fred..

CHM -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/9/2004 10:32 PM)

I agree too. If they have not made it easier to adjust the model parameters and paint the skins and such I think I will hold off unless I can upgrade and get the controller for a fair price.

It's really not much better than the rumored $50 G3 rebate that I heard about, and if I need to send my original disk and interface back I will be dead in the water until they turn it around. They need to sharpen their pencil a bit.

Mudsurfer1234 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/9/2004 11:38 PM)

could i use the G2 controller on AFPD? and set as a joystick like they say to do in AFP?

Thanks,
Scott

cloudancer03 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/9/2004 11:58 PM)

I just learned about aero fly..I have been using the g2 and enjoyed it .then realflight comes out with G3..Soooooo I contacted them and I gather I have to buy a new system (G3) and get a 50 dollar rebate ..wellllll,I am looking at 3D flying and I like what I see with aero and likely will invest in aero fly..I suspect alot of G2 pilots will discover this great software and switch..I realize realflight will have 3D as well but I love the graphics on aero..I amassuming that I can get usb with the deluxe version??and if I get the 139 dollar version as long as I buy the interface cable to go with my futaba radios I can use it right????

Mudsurfer1234 -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/10/2004 12:12 AM)

are there the 3D sceneries in AFPD? like the pic of the shockflyers? i don't really care for the photo sceneries, i like the 3D scenreies better, but i haven't seen any outdoor 3D scenes yet, only the indoor.

Thanks,
Scott

Yes you are right.

LeeU -> RE: Aero Fly Deluxe - New Version (11/10/2004 3:18 AM)

Mudsurfer and cloudancer,
I had G2 and all the add ons until I purchased AFP. I sold my G2 2 weeks later. Aircraft actually fly like real airplanes in AFP, I could always tweak G2 to approximate flying , but thats not what I'm after. I fly only 3D airplanes so flight physics are a lot more important to me than the person that flys the pattern so to speak. Mudsurfer you said that you don't really need photo sceneries, I'm with you, AFP 3D scenes are crisp and clean, I turn off the clouds for higher FPS. As far as the price I think one needs to put in perspective that G2 with all 5 add ons will run you around $350.00, I purchased my original AFP for $139.00 plus $103.00 (that $103 came from overseas, it could be a little more here as they have not released it yet) thats still a lot less for AFP G2 and add ons even if the price is $125.00 for the upgrade that is still only $265.00 and I get a lot of airplanes for FREE, as a matter of fact I can get more airplanes for free than the entire 5 add ons that one has to buy for RF. Just my 2 cents. LeeU
