I wanted to advise readers of RC Universe of a modeler fabricating scale exhausts, see http://www.keleo-creations.com/ sometimes it is hard to find out who is making these or if they are avaliable so I making this post.
I would email Kelvin at http://www.keleo-creations.com and inquire what it would cost to make one for your requirements, it may turn out to be jst a bit more than a slimline or bisson. -ken

JTEC also makes some nice scale functional exhaust stacks for the P-51, Spitfire, and P-40. I've had both the 1/5 P-40 and the 1/5 P-51 exhausts and they are dead on perfect fits for the YA P-40 and Byron or TF P-51. Check them out at the following link:
the Jtecs are very nice too, however it looks like you may have to set up your own manifold system while the Kelo exhuast stacks include a manifold for your specific engine.
How did you do your manifolds with the Jtec's? thanks - ken

I like the idea behind the jtec. In a crash, probably less chance an exhaust manifold would break like on the other. If there was some kind of flex joint or "fuse location" the other would be perfect. Looks lighter. Edwin
I got the exhaust stacks in the mail from KELEO this afternoon. I am impressed. They are light (10oz on my postal scale), simple, strong and functional. I will get the engine mounted to the Mustang next week, off on a road trip this week. More photos at http://www.sportrc.com/warbirds.html cheers - ken .

You guys haven't seen ANYTHING yet. Wanna talk about scale exhausts, take a look:
This exhaust is for a 1/5 scale Jerry Bates N1K2 George (engine is a Saito FA-450) I'm building and they are 100% scale and simply incredible. Kelvin at Keleo Creations is a real craftsman. The guy clearly loves what he does. How else could he have created something like this? And he made it in less than a week! I can't say enough for how hard he'll work to make all the scale details. I think he got as excited as I did about making this exhaust scale.
If scale's what you want, then a call or email to Kelvin is in your future.
Greg

Certainly nobody made scale exhausts for the Bates George until Kelvin made the ones he is making for me. Go to his website, get his number or email address, and give him a call or email. The price is surprisingly reasonable also.

Kelvin custom made mine to fit the Saito 170 which goes on my GTM Fokker D8. He took his standard 170 ring and modified it to fit my needs. In using the 170 on the D8, I had to move the firewall back some to get the proper prop clearance with the cowl. I emailed him pictures from several differant angles of the engine mounted, also sketches of what I wanted with measurements. Set a 6 inch scale against the firewall so he could see where everything was in relation to each other. He kept me posted by emailing pictures of the progress, suggested a couple of changes and about a week and a half later I got my exhaust ring. It fit perfectly. A couple of guys expressed some concern that it might couse too much back pressure and effect the engine preformance. That didn't happen, I ran the engine with and without the ring, same prop and needle valve setting. Got exactly the same rpm's. Looks like he can make about any scale exhaust. It don't cost anything for an email or phone call to get a quote.
I agree. give Kelvin a call or email at Kelo Creations and get a quote. I sent him the measurements for the TF arf mustang and the Revolution52 and got the exhausts in a short time, the exhausts fit very well and the appearance and wrkmanship is top notch. additiional P51 Kelo exhaust photos at http://www.sportrc.com/warbirds.html cheers - ken .

Ken,
How long before you test fly? I'm curious to see what you think of the Revolution engine. I was comparing its specs with the Moki 2.10 and it seems to be pretty much the same size, weight and output but with a longer crank - and best of all, it runs on gas. Looks perfect for a warbird. Thanks.
