Yes, trimming the stock mounts will work. I milled mine off on top of the 3rd fin on the mount. I have both sets of mounts, and I like the rtr mounts the best. You can adjust your engine forward or backwards. Hope this helps.

It would prob. work but the rtr mounts are pretty weak in my opinon. Also here is some pics of everything that my mayhem comes with. I had a few people asking for pics of the full lot so here they are!

Twigs, Im using a sportwerks starter box and Im not sure how low the flywheel needs to sit. What are you using and did you flywheel drop a decent amount when you milled it down to the 3rd fin.

I use the chrome top ofna box. Yes, the mounts dropped to the height of the pro mts. and they work like a charm. Just a little touch of the fly wheel and your off.

Well, I trimmed down the mounts tonight and the fly wheel just barely touches the bump box. It turns over but not as it should. I think I either have to mill them down some more or wait till the new mounts come in. I havent gotten to use my bump box yet, I really hope that it works. I specifically bought it because I have the mayhem and I hoped that it would work. what kinds of problems have you heard?

factory set up:
rear camber rods securing by 3x 16mm scews and locknuts

they have to be 20mm long

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum board, been racing rc cars for about a year now and want to get a Mayhem. I've done my research and a Mayhem is my next car. I found this listing on a big auction site, I know some board ops do not like it when you list auction sites so I'll just say it is a big site. Anyhow I found this listing:

One other thing, for racing the Mayhems, any good hop ups or race it stock? My club has a high clay amount that always gets watered down between races, it has 4 jumps about a foot high, so I might need a different set of tires. I know there is a few Mayhems that run at this track, a few use the tires that came with the car and a few use different combos of tires, there is one guy who uses a different tire on the inside left front.

I will sell you my mayhem that already is set up for a simular track, and already has several hop ups and comes with several spare parts for 300.00. Look back through some of my post to see pics or you can just go to www.picturetrail.com/kruck. U get everything in the pictures with mine includeing the 70.00 pipe! It also comes with two more sets of tires and wheels and the factory body. But if you want a diff one there are some things you need to do before racing. It needs all the diff fluids checked or changed. Go over every nut and bolt to make sure they are tight, and depending on your track you might need diff tires. With jumps as small as yours the factory suspension might be fine. I would play with the caster and toe out to try and get it to handle like you want.

I have a few questions:
Someone used a Werks clutch for the Mayhem, what was the part number or item description? I had a stock spring go out and used Associated springs which were too stiff and caused a problem which leads to another question...

The clutch after the 2nd run with Associated springs(I think for the Monster GT clutch...lhs said it was O.K.) was hot enough to boil water and was way hotter than the engine itself...how hot should a clutch get(I think o.k. enough to touch ) and does anyone have another clutch that can work...hopefully with part numbers or detailed item description. That leads to another question...

One of the bearings went out and I don't have the size available to buy a new one. Thanks for any info.
Another question is does anyone have chassis flex(stiffeners were in place) and it still caused engine clutchbell to hit chassis on an extremely hard landing.

Hi first of all a good clutch to use for the mayhem is a mugen clutch. Just about everybody has them and there is a big selection. I would recomend getting the carbon clutch shoes and the 1.0 mm springs. The clutch bell will get very hot so don't worry about it! Remember you are using friction and turning it at 35,000+ rpms, it is going to get hot! Finally if you go to any lhs or call any online parts store they will know what size bearings to get you. They are the same for all .21 and .26 engine. I would recomend racers edge bearings. They have lasted me the longest. As for the the chassie flex prob I have never had that prob.

Okay, I know you guys have probably upgraded your steering servo. So, what did you use in place of the stock?

Me? I'm using a JR 650m, I moved my stock steering servo to the throttle. At some point, I'm going to upgarde my 650m.

Anyone else added the quad-brakes yet? I put them on and it stops on a dime, but it acts erratically by having a pulsing feel when slightly applied. I thought that one of the rotors was warped, but both front and rear does it. It sometimes holds when off throttle and sometimes it doesn't. I had a clutch fail and I now think that the brakes were applied slightly that caused the clutch to overheat and fail. When engine off and chassis rolling with transmitter on, it rolls freely...I am also trying new springs while waiting on Mugen springs and I am currently trying Ofna gray clutch springs. Are these stiffer than stock? They seem to be. I also think that it may take the brakes some time to seat themselves as they wear in the pads. I checked the linkages and it seems to not have slop or excessive play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im running a collari 21 jr 650 seervo for steerig and 590 for throttle, with the mayhem PRO. jsut finished painting the body and all. ill post some pics up tomorrow. and when i get my motor back from werks, still ahvent raced or driven it yet though just moved up from a hb lightning with sum hop ups. well see wat happens
