Let me know if the tubing lasts longer than about 3 flights. If it does, I'll try it. I just have not had any success using tubing for gasoline engine exhaust. The metal flexible piping has worked well, but not the rubber or silicone exhaust tubing.
I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with this tubing and how well it works for them.
I have used this type of tubing on glow engines and it seems to work adquately; but, on gasoline engines, I believe the exhaust is hotter and will burn the tubing after continuous use.
Thanks, I'd like to learn something here. If it works for some, it should work for all.

Don't waste your time going to the Aerotech web site to order the P-47 muffler for a G62. I spoke with the main man at Aerotech (Iwas going to order one) and the web site info in not correct. Their muffler will NOT work on a G62 mounted on a yellow aircraft P47. Straight from the horses mouth. I wanted one for my Yellow P47. He indicated that the Yellow cowl was under scale and that there was not enough room, at least that is what he said. Apparently even their chin cowl and radial is very questionable about fitting in a Yellow?

However, I do have their accessories for the guns, sight, pilons & more. Expensive, but nice stuff.

fighterpilot, I have used tubing I found at an auto parts store for exhaust extensions. They have many sizes, used for heater hoses etc... will more than stand up to hot exhaust and its cheap too.

Alleymutt, Kregg:

I talked to Wyane Siewert in Feb. and he told me that the muffler he sells will not fit. It is an inch or so too large.

Fighterpilot:

I will keep you informed as to the condition of the exhaust tubing I am using. How do you attach the metal flexible pipe to the muffler outlets? Where do you get the metal flexible pipe?
