Ray, I havent seen mention of the Tuskegee airmen figures. What are these oing in? I believe I have the B25 pilot figure if needed

For the first time in my RC career, I am doing a D Mustang, 100", I have always shyed away cause they were always every where I went. Love the "B", done about 4 of those.
I have a 100" Airacobra and a 1/5th scale Bearcat that I would like to drop Tuskeegee drivers into. I have plenty of the 1/6th pilots, they look just too out of scale for my personal tastes for these aircraft.
Thanks on the offer,I have the B25 figure as well, he drives my Lightening.

welcome back on the scene Ray and good luck. I have also used I believe they are the Century Jet pilot figuress. I have one inmy Mig3. You could always do a lil sculpting and puttying to make "Black and beautiful"

Why you gotta tease with the Mig 3? I love that plane. Great options, the sculpting and flesh toning is option b!
Feels good to be back building again. Looking forward to my first flight in about 5 years actually.

I think Aces of Iron are the great, but you have to build a body. Best Pilots are less work and look great.

Check out Patti's work at   http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9563503/tm.htm  .These may not be cheap but  I think you can get (if you're patient ) a really good pilot figure in the size you need.  I agree with Pete about the scale height and average height of the pilots as being the most important factor.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I just completed this pilot figure for the Pacific theatre.  He is full-bodied, weighs only 4.5 oz. and is 1/5 scale. He features accurate gear and clothing (down to the laces on his officer shoes), a positionable head, and he resembles a certain rough-necked Marine pilot. Perfect for 1/5 scale P-40s and Corsairs.

Hey Fly4Real, just to let you know that "Bob is in service"! You have done a fantastic job with these pilots! They add a whole bunch of realism to the finished aircraft! Oh by the way have you been making any flights for movies lately???

Marvin, Glad Bob found such a nice "home"! I am honored to have one of my pilots in your aircraft. Great job painting him! No flying for the movies lately, but it was almost as much fun as Owatonna.

Ram3500, Glad you asked! Source is BestPilots.typepad.com.

Have to credit my sister with the painting! You shipped him to me, I hauled him back to KC this last weekend and she painted him!! He's already been alot of miles, and hasn't let the ground yet! lol. Love to see yer B25 sometime when down that way Lyle. Just finished up one myself that I copied some features of yours.

Ahh, yes, I have seen the site. Very nice. Is he making a full figure now?

BTW, my compliments to your sister. She is a real artist.
