Status: offline 		Awhile back there was on TV a gas powered (weedy type engine) ornithopter. i was about a 6 ft wing span and was similar to a vulture/eagle wing. the engine went through a reduction gear and clutch so it could soar with out flapping and that could be controlled by raising engine speed slightly. the engine and drive train was mounted on a single plate.
i have flown big gas planes for years and thought this might be a worthy project.
