Nice plane. The dock and the picnic table bother me. That borders on playing with dolls. That's a slippery slope. Just kidding, what a great looking scene. Should be the cover of a mag.

Thanks guys.nearly didnt take the dock with me ,as the wife was pretty negative about it...Took in the end and attracted so much attention....so many took photos.
The kids just loved it with the dolls..had to tie the plane up to it several times during the day for others to take pics.
strykass.....I can assure you the lake didnt look like that the next day,as it was very windy ,and the water was far to choppy.

Hello all

Some very nice birds, I would like to get my hands on a set of plans for the Shearwater that looks like agreat build and a great flyer. I have had about 7 planes on floats and right now have a Seawind and a gp 40 size cub on floats.

The one plane that I remember most for going float flying was a 40 size Mustang that had over 200 flights on it and a recovering job that I was going to give away but needed something to fly while camping so it went on floats and I had a great time with it.

Sorry all my pictures are on paper for float flying but will try to find a scanner to put some up.

Again some great water birds

Wayne,

That sure is a really beautiful picture. The lake is like glass. I have been to 6 float events this summer and it has been blowing 15-25 mph at every one. Not a whole lot of fun but great people. Oh well maybe next year.

It's a bit ironic that models of the Spruce Goose must have, collectively, amassed hundreds of more flying hours than the original.

Gorgeous model. - John.
