I would remove the tank and glow plug and soak it all in kerosene for a couple of days and then wash in hot soapy water, dry quickly and oil it all before reassembly.

I got me a can of MEK from home depot and it rocks for freeing up the gummies. I hasn't hurt any plastic on my medallions or tee dees or reedies.. Gotta use it outside tho. whew!

Denatured alcohol works fine and it's one pof the constituents of the fuel so you won't have to worry about disolving anything. Dry parts well and oil generously.

Remove the needle and glow plug if you can and remove the tank assembly. Immerse the whole engine in fuel for a few minutes or squirt fuel on the parts. An old toothbrush is good for brushing the parts. Take care around the reed assembly.

Wash parts with soap and water. Dry thoroughly. Oil parts and reassemble.

DO NOT leave it sitting in fuel for a long time. Bad things can happen.

@1/2alover

You can order them at towerhobbies, very cheap stuff (www.towerhobbies.com)

Only con is that I have to pay 30 bucks shipment :P So i probably order a complete Cox PT-19 control line trainer with accessories. Have to give that a try, CL flying
