Hey fella's, I was needin' to know what type of fuel I could use in a TD .049. I have been using the cox fuel, but it's no longer avaliable where I live. Can I use good ol' 15% cool master? That would be good since that's what everything else I have runs on. Give me some good suggestions please! I'm outta gas! Need help fast!

astro,

With the TD it will be happiest with at least 20% nitro. Also you need a fuel with castor being the lube again 20%. The castor is needed to keep the ball socket happy.

Later,
Tim

You can get pretty decent performance with 15% COOL POWER, but it is a good idea to top off a fresh gallon with 4 ozs of caster oil, and shake well.

Yep, a gallon lasts me 64 solo flights, or 32 combat bouts!

My TD .051 runs best on 25% nitro and 20% castor.

Yep I'm with the 25% nitro 20% oil crowd. Seems to be a good comprimise work best for me with all 1/2A engines. And but the way once you get your 1/2A engines purring you will be supprised how fast you can go through a gallon of fuel. I burned about 1-3/4 gallons this summer with three planes.
