I have a Corona, and am running the following gear:

Hitec Piezo Gyro
Trinity Chameleon Pro 19x2 Motor
Fusion 35 Speed Controller
Standard Futaba 7-Channel Receiver

This is a good setup, but there's a few things I am going to change in the near future. First I'd like to get a Hitec 555 receiver to save a little weight. Secondly, a Futaba HH gyro would be a nice addition, as I do fight the tail quite a bit with my current gyro.

I'm happy with the Chameleon motor, but there's several motors that have been used successfully in the Corona. The Kyosho Atomic Force is a very popular choice, and many ppl are running the Hacker brushless setups. Either way you go, all will agree that the stock Fusion 7 motor that comes with the kit is pretty much junk. The speed controller is pretty nice though.

You may want to check out the Ezone for more Corona information. There's tons of them out there, and the Ezone gang are very helpful with these electric ships.

Think about the GWS 4 channel. It weighs a lot less and is cheaper.

I am running that in my LMH110 it works great. It only has a 500' range but my LMH never gets half that far away. Although I don't know if the electric motor would cause more interference???

Overall have you been happy with the electric power? I have been thinking of converting mine for the winter.

I'm very happy with my Corona. I'm a fan of both glow and electric power, so I'm not really partial to either. I get around 7 minutes of hover with Sanyo CP1900's, and around 9 minutes of hover with Sanyo CP2400's. All of my packs are 7-cell.

If you alreay have some electric support equipment (charger, soldering iron, etc) then you will love the 110 on electric power. I've never flown a glow powered LMH, so I can't comment on how the power would compare to yours. I have read on several occasions that the power is much more controllable when it's electric, because of the smoothness of the ESC and the fact that there is no "power-band" you need to stay in as you do with the glow.

Even if you don't have the electric support equipment, consider purchasing what you need to get into the electric side of the sport. It is great for front yard flights, and just packing in the truck with you for those spur of the moment urges. And if you are a plank flyer, there's a lot available to explore there as well.

Sold me! I was going to sell my LMH and buy an JR Voyager E but now I think I will keep it and convert it. I am not running a Piezo on it now is that required for the electric conversion? I am not apposed to upgrading it but just wondered if it was required.

I've read that removing the Arlton and putting in a piezo gyro makes the LMH an entirely different machine. I've never used the Arlton, but I can see where a piezo would have to perform better.

If it were me -- I would get the piezo. A HH would be even better, as the tail on the LMH is a bit "flittery" due to the constant torque changes required by the fixed pitch head.

Ezone has tons of info on the Corona, and quite a bit of info about converting a 110 to electric. Check it out sometime -- it's a wealth of knowledge.

Last dumb question. (for now) Does someone sell a Corona conversion kit? I am starting to get the parts in my head and between the Crutch/Gears/Gyro I am starting to get a sizable bill.

Any 1 price kit to convert a glow burner to electric?

I'm pretty sure LMH offers a Corona conversion kit for the 110. I couldn't find a link on their web site, but I always call them -- you get better service from them with a call.

You can grab all their contact info at the web site: http://www.litemachines.com . Give 'em a ring and see what the kit costs -- it's probably cheaper than buying each thing separately.
