Status: offline 		I begin to construct a Super Cub Hangar 9 and I hesitate between Zenoha26 ,Fuji 32, Roto 25 and RCS180.The cub go on float and ski.
I want know your opinion.

Status: offline 		I have a Brison 2.4 in my H9 Super Cub. Using a Zinger 20/8. It will fly very slow and scale like with the flaps down. Put the hammer down, and it will easily knife edge. Had smoke in it for awhile.


I like the Brison over the G26 because the Brison has electronic igntion for only 75 bucks more, it is lighter, much more powerful, versatile (also had it in my PW Extra), and consistently hand starts with a couple flips.

It just does fit in the Super Cub cowl with the side mount Bisson muffler.

Status: offline 		I tried the Roto 35 with a 18X10 prop and it was too heavy for the Cub, but had great power. I would try the Roto 25 or the Z23, or Z26. You'll have to do the research however. Rotos are easy to start and mine did not quit me at all. Plus they sip fuel. My experience with Zenoah's are from my Bergen. It fires right up also. The first start-ups I needed to use a high tourqe starter, but I think that was because the fuel line was run improperly. After I re-routed it the engine took a couple of flips with the stick and she fired up due to elec ignition.

The H9 Super Cub is a great plane. I am recovering mine at the present time. I buried it in the corn on it's maiden flight, and I am not building it for scale looks. I did not like the scheme due to it is hard for me to see. The Roto 35 is very heavy for the nose. But for a planes like the Super Flying King or Giant Telemaster it would be great. I was thinking of putting a YS 110 or Saito 1.00 in mine, but I have chosen to go over to electric. So now I have many engines lying around until I get the erge to hear the valves knocking again.

My final recomendation is the Zenoahs. If you chose the brand, there would be little butchering of the front end to get it in as the Cub is designed around the G23 since that is also a Horizon Hobbies brand. it will bolt right in. I needed to do much hacking on the cowling to fit it.

I have a G23 in mine and it flys GREAT!! Plenty of power so I would suggest going with the G26. As someone said, the plane is really designed around this engine. Everything will fit inside of the cowl with no problems. I have put about 40 flights on this plane and it still look great. Eventually I will put some Robart scale gear on it when I recover the plane.

One more vote for the G26!!!

Status: offline 		Anybody try a 3W 28? I am trying to decide if I should go with a 3w 28 or a YS 1.40L that I have on hand. I am thinking of the 3w. I hav also considered the 3W 42, but am not sure if I want to over power it with that. I will be putting it on floats.

Step back and stay away from the glow . This plane was built for gas!!!! The 28 should be more than enough power for this plane. The only question is that I don't know your altitude. Hope this helps.
