ORIGINAL: dOWa423 My buddy and I just took my washer out last night. It was super easy, so nobody should worry about it being a hassle. Only like 8 screws I believe. I did need to replace the screws that held on the roto start though, they broke and / or the philips heads stripped when I removed them. For the replacements I used 2.5 mm socket (allen hex) head screws, 8 mm long. I got them from the local hobby shop. I also sealed my back plate with a good silicone sealer when we put it back together. quote:

Anyone try heating the backplate up perhaps? maybe not the backplate persay but perhaps the screws themselves? Might help for loosening up the locktite enough to crack the screws without damaging them. Just a thought. I plan on buying the truck on Thursday, so what your all saying is I should buy a package of screws for the back plate, along with a hump pack and new receiver? Tweedy Bird
