Roger,
I dont doubt the quality of the product or its effect. I just do not know if it will have the same effect as litho aluminum for molding purposes. That is my concern. Otherwise it should be a great product for the use you are intending it to be utilised on.

AT-6 plane is nice and should make it look wonderful.

Keep us posted on that project

Thanks again

Eventually, I would like to make a rather large Corsair, but later. Here are some disc brakes I'm developing for those super large airplanes.

F86_SABRE -> SU construction (5/14/2003 2:59 AM)

Roger,
those disc brakes look very nice and makes sense in having disc braking rather than the usual set-up. How do those function on a tail dragger?
Perhaps you should open a new thread on this and let Harald fill us up on the SU project!

All yours Roger....sounds an interesting project too with a good subject for a new thread.

Regards

Reuben

Reuben,
Your absolutely right, I should not have brought the subject of the brakes here, I will start a thread on it.
I do want this thread to continue on the SU27, it is most fascinating. I only wish I had that type of talent...

smatty_mcfly -> website working? (7/8/2003 6:47 AM)

hi guys. i just checked the su27 site and it doesn't seem to work for me. I see a pic of the plane and a bunch of image boxes with X in them. I looked for links on the page and the only one I can find is to modelturbine.de.

Are there construction pics somewhere? could someone post a link to one of those pages? thanks. :-)

smatty_mcfly -> looks incredible! (7/8/2003 11:57 PM)

Hi guys. I finally got through to the webpage correctly.

The build looks amazing! Just so I understand correctly, will that plane itself ever fly, or is it just going to be used to make molds for a fibreglass version?

Either way, I can't wait to see one of them fly!

Mike Noin -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (7/9/2003 7:11 PM)

The plane you see in the photos is just a plug to make the fiberglass parts for the flying model. This guys attention to detail is amazing!!!!!

smatty_mcfly -> thanks Mike (7/9/2003 11:53 PM)

thanks for the info Mike. I can't wait to see the kit from that airplane. :-)

Greg_R -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/23/2003 2:05 AM)

I'll be saving my money for your kit. Do you think you'll make a Su-35/37 version?

harald huf -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/23/2003 2:12 AM)

hi greg,
i don't know if i will make a su35/37. if i would do so, i had to build it complete new. i would not like to "glue" some canards on it... an paint it like a superflnker.

harald

Greg_R -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/23/2003 2:23 AM)

OK!!!!

harald huf -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/23/2003 2:31 AM)

i think i have enough to do, to get the su27 ready to fly.
my next project will not have that much "russian" detailing.
the older planes, especially the su27 have thousends of rivets, panels and stuff. so my next plane will be a jet of the newest generation.
this is not that much of work. my faforite is the saab jas 39 "gripen".

Greg_R -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/23/2003 3:05 AM)

Large Scale?

harald huf -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/23/2003 10:42 PM)

yes, "big-block" scale.

Flanker -> Su-27 (8/24/2003 6:18 AM)

Harald,

I've been following your project for a few months now. This is going to be one awesome airplane.

Similar question as was asked a few days ago: any chance you might make an Su-27UB version--the two-seater?

My screen name should proclaim my affinity for the Su-27....

Flanker

Guardian -> big SU 27 Flanker Project in Germany (8/24/2003 7:51 AM)

So Harald,
What are the dimensions for this bad boy, BTW kick a$$ jet, I gotta get me one, If there's a waiting list for this jet, I want to be on it !!! :D

Thanks,
Mike

Razor-RCU -> whoaaaaaaaaa (8/24/2003 9:11 AM)

I surfed EVERY pic on Harald's site and-

That is easily the FINEST WORKMANSHIP I have ever seen in modeling .....

I am actually stunned :eek: I would be happy to be able to afford a DF Viper, let alone something like that-

Heres' to Harald- Proving once again that the Germans are tip-top on workmanship!

Keep us posted sir-
